Fan Bingbing was in Beijing, China, to help Valentino celebrate the opening of a new boutique this week.
The actress wore a Valentino Spring 2012 maxi dress.
Her sheer lace dress with stunning floral embroidery is amazing sans the red detail on the hemline.
The trouble I have with this look is that I feel like I have seen it more than once on Fan Bingbing.
I would love her to wear more colour. I don’t know why she tends to favour this ivory colour so often when it has the potential to wash her out.
That being said, she does look lovely on this occasion.

I’m not sure if it’s the heavy eye makeup or the overly pale skin color, but something is weird with her overall look.
I love the feminine and simple Fan.
she does look lovely. But i agree with you fc she should wear more colour!
Not digging this on Fan. It washes her out.
I really love this. It is so feminine and elegant, and while it is similar to things she’s worn before, I never get tired of this! Do you know if she’ll be at Cannes this year, FC? (I hope so!)
+1 She looks lovely. I love the hair.
There is something kinda creepy about this whole thing. She looks lovely and pretty but almost vampire-ish. Maybe it’s the makeup and overall color palette she’s working with?
I look forward to her performance in Cannes Film Festival!
I think she looks lovely.
Seriously, enough with the corpse bride look.
the dress looks all kinds of ugly on the runway, but on fan it actually looks really pretty. hate the hemline on the dress though.
Too much sugar, not enough spice.
Oh, thank you. I’m having a diabetic coma over here.
I really love this look. I don’t mind the ivory on this occasion because it just seems to disappear against her body leaving the beautiful embroidery details as the focus. I think it looks more soft and ethereal on Fan than on the runway.
I don’t dislike it on her but I prefer the runway version.
omg.. i love everything about the dress!
Sorry to say that and even though I adore this dress, it makes her look like a ghost. But maybe it’s more likely because of the make up.. I don’t know, but definitely something wrong here.
Does she have her hands in her pockets? I can’t quite figure it out … Anyhow, it’s a beautiful dress but yes, it makes her look sickly.
+1. She’s vaguely green.
She looks under the weather. It could be dress and that ivory color.
prefer the styling on the runway
Chinese are obsessed with pale skin, hence the vampire look! What we see as ‘washed out’ is for them doll-like porcelain look
