Whilst browsing magazines in my local supermarket today I came across Look magazine and realized that something wasn’t quite right.
Then it dawned on me that since returning to her raven locks, Rihanna hasn’t worn a fuchsia-pink dress.
What the Photoshop team have done is flip horizontally the picture of Rihanna wearing a green Giorgio Armani dress so the split is to the left, changed the colour of the dress to pink then added the head of Rihanna from the ‘Battleship’ Japan premiere.
I guess this is one of the dilemmas publications face when trying to keep up with a cover star who keeps changing her hairstyle, but it seems like a lot of work.
Surely it would’ve been easier to just put the picture of Rihanna from the ‘Battleship’ premiere on the cover? No?

I’ve noticed a lot of photoshopping on magazine covers but this is the most ridiculous one.
This is so silly! “Oh, Rihanna won’t pose for us so we’ll just make up a picture of her from her last thirty red carpet outings! No one will know!”
Look magazine does not deserve a look.
Not surprised, this seem to be what tabloids and celeb mags do for a living these days.
OK Magazine has been doing this for years, with the Beckham’s being one of their favourite subject to photoshop.
The public (not fans/followers) think they’re posing for magazines 24/7 (whoring publicity) when in fact it’s the magazine who’s to blame for simply re-using and photoshop old images.
How is this even legal?

And yeah, wonder why they did all that work – but I guess that despite the half a million other stars to choose from they still believe at it sells better with Rihanna on the front page, so in that way it pays off..
