Emily Blunt In Jason Wu – ‘The Five Year Engagement’ Tribeca Film Festival Premiere

Emily Blunt joined her co-star Jason Segal on the opening night of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of their latest movie, ‘The Five Year Engagement’, held at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City last night.

The British actress looked beautiful wearing a Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

She added a silver buckled belt to her black fit-and-flare strapless dress with a green embroidered leaf detail bodice.

The embroidered details were complemented with green Alice + Olivia ‘Devon’ pumps, plus she added a black Valentino clutch from the ‘Noir’ capsule collection.

Beauty-wise, I love the slicked-back hairdo which showcases those stunning Lorraine Scwhartz earrings.

A hot-fuchsia lip colour and kohl-rimmed eyes completed the look.

Emily has worn some amazing looks in her time, but this one ranks in the top 5 for me.

    love :)
Emily Blunt is one of my favourite celebs fashion-wise :)

  2. vicky April 19, 2012 at 11:34 #

Definitely a BDOTW contender. She does tend to opt for the same style but there’s always something that draws you to her.
In this case, the accessories and that dress is just plain gorgeous, love the belt with it.

  3. PenPen April 19, 2012 at 11:35 #

Wow, I am floored by how gorgeous she is: perfect fit, great complimentary accessories, beautiful makeup … last but not least, she looks YOUTHFL.
As much as elegant and beautiful other looks this week are, this is my true BDOTW.

      +1! BDOTW & swoon worthy!

      +1 about the youthful!

  4. Nat April 19, 2012 at 11:35 #

I love this, but I’m not too sure about the shoes. I mean, if you want to go matchy-matchy (which I like, by the way), you shouldn’t pick a shade of green that clashes with the shade of green on your dress.
    Hair+makeup+earrings are perfect.

    • Leti April 19, 2012 at 13:41 #

I completely agree. The dress, hair, makeup, and jewelry are perfection, but the shoes clash!

      • Suz April 19, 2012 at 15:37 #

I’m with you guys. I was loving this look until I got to the shoes. They’re just not the same tone of green, and that ruins it for me. :(

        • dee April 19, 2012 at 16:38 #

Someone else on the same page. Why did she wear those shoes? I would have preferred black ones to that shade of green. It doesn’t go with the dress.

    WOW!

    • Betty Brandenburg April 19, 2012 at 12:07 #

+1. Would make her lose the belt, though.

  6. Jess2 April 19, 2012 at 12:05 #

Gorgeous!! I would have preferred the shoes to be a shade of green that is closer to the print on the dress but she looks amazing nonetheless. I looove the addition of the belt and the rest of the styling is spot on! Perfection :D

  7. Linda April 19, 2012 at 12:10 #

The accessories and the lip shade are so fresh and lovely. She looks absolutely beautiful and I agree with FC, this is not only one of her top five, but perhaps her very best look ever. Flawless.

  8. Fiona April 19, 2012 at 12:18 #

WOW – I love everything about this. The shoes, the belt, the hair and the makeup and the earrings …
I agree with you completely, one of her best for sure. BDOTW poll for sure.

  9. Victoria April 19, 2012 at 12:25 #

Love the dress, the lip color and the jewels. Don’t like the shoes though: too close but not the perfect match for green of the dress.

  10. Bek April 19, 2012 at 12:26 #

She looks incredible. I barely recognised her and those heels!!!!! Need I say anymore.

  11. Yeliz April 19, 2012 at 12:26 #

I don’t like the shoes but the rest is just stunning. I especially like her make-up.

  12. Lara April 19, 2012 at 12:28 #

Just… WOW. I’m not going to read the other comments before I post because I don’t want my opinion to be swayed. I agree entirely that this is one of her very best looks to date. I would change one thing about it. Flawless make up, and those shoes! Most of all that pose! Perfection. BDOTW please.

    • Lara April 19, 2012 at 12:29 #

Of course I meant I would NOT change one thing

  13. Lee Ann April 19, 2012 at 12:37 #

Love the dress and her but I think the belt is overkill

  14. Jeremy April 19, 2012 at 12:39 #

Wow, she’d definitely get my vote this week. I love her up-do and make up. Very impressive I have to say.

  15. M. April 19, 2012 at 12:43 #

I wasn’t sure about the shoes but the possibility of black pumps made me loooove them!

Gorgeous hair and makeup, as always

  16. Louise April 19, 2012 at 13:11 #

Stunning. I quite like the not so matchy shoes. And I agree with all the other comments on hair and makeup. BDOTW please.

  17. Shaina April 19, 2012 at 13:16 #

I agree that this ranks in the top five. She looks perfect here. I love everything going on, BDOTW worthy for me.

  18. Riley April 19, 2012 at 13:27 #

We can tell she is lovin’ her look and that she feels beautiful. This is definitely a BDOTW.

    • mattison April 19, 2012 at 15:17 #

Exactly- her confidence shines through so brightly here, it’s hard NOT to love this look. Gorgeous!

  19. msd April 19, 2012 at 13:31 #

I love everything here … except, sadly, the shoes. I usually love colourful shoes but it looks like her stylist was trying to match the dress and failed. I’d still put this up for BDOTW though.

  20. CreoleLady April 19, 2012 at 13:37 #

Natalie Cole’s “Sophisticated Lady” just popped into my head. Love the subtle drama of this look.

  21. Christine April 19, 2012 at 13:56 #

    Amazing!!! BDOTW :) Just amazing

  22. Christine April 19, 2012 at 13:57 #

P.s Her make up is flawless.

  23. Carolyn April 19, 2012 at 14:01 #

I agree that she looks stunning. Love how she added the pops of green and the belt!

  24. zoe April 19, 2012 at 14:08 #

she looks so amazing! i have really been falling in love with her style. this look has to be in the bdotw poll. .> lol

  25. bm April 19, 2012 at 14:12 #

    Good Job, Mrs. Krasinski.
For once I actually loved her. And what a smart move to wear the belt with the dress.

  26. Ramsay April 19, 2012 at 14:52 #

    Fantastic!!!

  27. fromchi-town April 19, 2012 at 14:55 #

Love it. She looks gorgeous and those pink lips are perfection. I know the shoes don’t exactly match the green in her dress, but those pumps are delish!!

  28. Martina April 19, 2012 at 15:04 #

She looks stunning, definitely BDOTW :D

  29. Mol April 19, 2012 at 15:14 #

Wow she should do hair and makeup like this more often, she looks stunning! The belt is a bit too much for me, but everything else is fab.

  30. Rebecca Z April 19, 2012 at 15:40 #

Adding my BDOTW nomination. she looks lovely, sophisticated and chic.

  31. EmmaWoodhouse April 19, 2012 at 15:42 #

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!! Fabulous, 11 out of 10, BDOTW nominee! :) Love that she wore green shoes. Ultimate perfection.

  32. justme April 19, 2012 at 15:58 #

Yes to the belt, no to the wrong shade of green pumps.
Her makeup and hair are exquisite though.

  33. Jennifer H-K April 19, 2012 at 16:00 #

Emily’s best ever, everything is superb!

  34. Rach April 19, 2012 at 16:23 #

GORGEOUS. One of my fave looks in a long time. Emily always exudes class on the red carpet.

  35. Jennifer April 19, 2012 at 16:24 #

Love the dress, love her attitude, love the addition of the belt… but the shoes kill it for me, and I’m not completely sold on the shade of pink on her lips – other wise her make up is flawless. I love the look minus the shoes. It’s one of the times that I’d vote strappy black shoes instead.

  36. Alina April 19, 2012 at 16:31 #

    I ADORE THIS!

  37. Hannah April 19, 2012 at 17:48 #

What makes this so amazing is her & her styling, the dress is gorgeous, btu she brings it to life. Her hair is perfect like that & her makeup is just perfection. The only little thing that irks me is that the shoes are a slightly different green to teh earrings & embroidery.

  38. lily April 19, 2012 at 19:00 #

She looks amazing n I love her makeup. I know it’s out of context but if u know the exact lipstick she wear, can u tell me FC? I find the fuchsia shade is kinda different n I love it!

    • Fashion Critic April 19, 2012 at 19:12 #

      yes i will

  39. Tina April 19, 2012 at 19:08 #

Love the belt add-on! Look is amazing – dress works great on her, and her accessories and hair work as well! Definitely BDOTW.

  40. Johann April 19, 2012 at 23:23 #

She always looks stunning to me but i’m really disturbed by the difference of green between the dress and the shoes…(i’m french sorry for my english)

  41. Laura April 20, 2012 at 01:28 #

Goosebumps! She’s sooooo pretty. Well done Emily!

  42. Sharon April 20, 2012 at 02:37 #

I agree with those wishing for black sandals to complement this gorgeous dress. Her hair, makeup, everything else is perfect, but the green shoes are just jarring.

  43. Redseouls April 20, 2012 at 03:01 #

    Beautiful!!! <3

  44. lin April 20, 2012 at 07:36 #

    She looks drop-dead gorgeous.

  45. Aline April 20, 2012 at 23:07 #

Man, I absolutely love her hair and makeup. That shade of pink looks so fantastic in her.

And the dress is very pretty. But I realized that I don’t like flared skirts on Emily; I didn’t like the Naeem Kaan dress on her and I don’t like this dress on her, it makes her legs look weird.
