Solange Knowles attended the re-opening of the Salvatore Ferragamo Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City yesterday evening.
The star wore a Ferragamo Spring 2012 look with a Maki Oh blouse.
I just love the jewel tones, but the black-and-white marble-print Maki Oh blouse I’m not so sure about.
This is the second time in a row that I haven’t been blown away with a Solange look, which is a rarity.
Ferragamo ‘Blejan’ bi-colour sandals, a bold pink lip colour and a gold minaudiere completed her look.

everything looks great apart from the trousers. those sandals are divine!
This is definitely an improvement. She looks stylish without trying too hard.
See it’s not that bad – but for me, she has always come across as trying too hard. For someone who doesn’t wanna be known as ‘Beyonce’s younger sister’ she shouldn’t try so hard, cause my doing so makes you more of that title.
I never feel she is ever herself.

I think the fro looks trashy on Solange, and I don’t like the blouse either. On a positive note, I do love the sandals (don’t we all) and the purple blazer with the orange pants.
I absolutely adore the idea behind this look, but I think that the fit completely lets down this look.

I love it. The shirt works for because it isnt a heavy fabric with neutral colors. She is rarely boring and full of bold colors.

Was about the make the same comment myself Rosalie! Lol! On a separate note, this is the closest I’ve seen her resembling her sister in the face… the expression looks so Bey! I love how stylish she has become.

I love her hair and the color, except I think there’s one too many. The shirt is a distraction, and I don’t love the cut of the pants, though I like the color and fabric. Maybe a black tank would have been better with this.
Hate the fit of the pants but I love the beautiful colours and her hair. I like that you always get something unexpected from her even if she doesn’t always get it right.
Pants are horrific, and I can’t get on board with the fuschia accents via shoes and lips in conjunction with the red and purple. (The pink and purple – yes. Pink and red, even – yes. All three, maybe with the right mix, but definitely not with the blouse thrown into the brew.)
She’s thrown too many colours into this look, it isn’t working, should’ve kept it simpler.

Ok, she wore the entire runway look, while Solange here mixed things up more (the jacket is the same, right?), but anyways I can’t help but making a comparison.
Whilst I like the colourfulness of Solange’s look, all the pieces don’t exactly go well together.
Sonam’s look was more polished and classy.
p.s. I LOVE Solange’s sandals, btw. Ferragamo always makes amazing shoes, both as for the appearance and for the comfort.

Sonam Kapoor wore this look as shown on the runway (if I remember correctly) and stunned. So I’m not surprised Solange would try to make the look her own by styling it differently. Love the colors and hair, ok with the overall look.
Solange looks absolutely breath taking she is such a fashionista and It girl of the moment. Always a pleasure to see what she wears next. she keeps it interesting and so no boring

Solange is in a seperate league on her own just like Rihanna they are trend setters who make their own rules and others follow. This look is another perfect example I can’t get enough of it.
