Lily Collins In Dolce & Gabbana – Cartier Juste un Clou After Party

After weeks wearing princess-like ballgowns promoting her new movie ‘Mirror Mirror, Lily Collins took a more masculine approach to the red carpet yesterday evening.

Whilst attending the Cartier Juste un Clou after-party at Skylight Studios in New York City, the actress donned a black Dolce & Gabbana blazer with Paule Ka pants.

An ivory ruffled bib blouse added an extra chic element to her look, whilst a red clutch and a complementary lip colour provided the finishing touches.

A perfect palette cleanser, don’t you think?

definitely makes a change from the princess style dresses. but there is something really off putting by it dont know what it is though.

This is really lovely, one of my favourite looks of hers for sure but the lip colour just seems a bit off here, though that’s a relatively minor complaint all things considered.

like it except make up,too harsh, and too dark somehow

  4. Emma April 13, 2012 at 14:57 #

I’m not normally a fan of androgynous looks but I actually quite like this. I agree that something is missing though. Perhaps theres too much dark colour?

    Gorgeous…almost Victorian looking.

+1. Definitely one of the best iterations of the female tux in a while

        I agree with you both.

Yes, I wasn’t sure about it at first but she’s really working a feminine/masculine look. Great job.

I love this look on her – I actually like the makeup. Although you can see there is quite a lot compared to what we’ve seen from her, it’s still very flawless and a mature look, she definitely rocks this well!

    • Jess April 13, 2012 at 17:37 #

Agree with every thing you said! I like the makeup, very mature looking

Love everything but the somewhat baggy pant leg fabric. That line should be crisp from waist to ankle, imo. Good look for her, agree, nice change-up.

    • gurlygurl April 14, 2012 at 14:40 #

Agreed! I love this look – it would have been perfection if it was tailored. The pants should be crisp and cut close to the body with that length of blazer. The high waist does however save it from throwing her proportions out completely. I would have liked to have seen the sleeves a bit shorter too.

She looks very refined and classy here. Lovely.

I didn’t recognize Lily, which is weird considering I have a massive Girl Crush on her.

I love this ghostly Victorian look, but am frustrated I can’t point a finger on her style. What is it? Taylor Swift’s is boring girly, Tilda Swinton 95% androgynous (she does wear heels and colored lipstick), Angelina Jolie boring chic…so what is Lily’s? She seems to be bouncing all over the place.
Her street style is the same way.

I’m captivated by this look, and I think the makeup is perfect for the whole vibe of it.

I hate this look on her…. the Victorian blouse buttoned up to her neck is overkill, a simple tank would have looked much better. With her pale skin, black ensemble and dark lips she looks like she is attending an Addams Family reunion.

  13. Rebecca Z April 13, 2012 at 16:42 #

I think she looks fine, even cute. Next!

  14. Zineb April 13, 2012 at 17:23 #

I think she looks great, I like the mysterious goth vibe, mostly thanks to the blouse and make-up… It’s different from anything we’ve seen her wearing so far.

  15. Giuseppi Giraffe April 13, 2012 at 18:08 #

I’m impressed. :) She’s proving herself to be quite versatile on the red carpet.

  16. Yeliz April 13, 2012 at 18:14 #

I think she looks ok but for me there is nothing exciting about this look.

  17. justme April 13, 2012 at 18:36 #

I wish she hadn’t picked such a dark shade of red lipstick but I still like this look.

  18. Jill April 13, 2012 at 19:21 #

this is one stunning surprise from Lily. this is so chic I can’t even say. never expecting this from her. just – great.

  19. Sharon April 14, 2012 at 02:20 #

I love this look. The combination of the tailored look with the hairstyle and makeup really makes her eyes look amazing.

  20. joy April 14, 2012 at 18:23 #

I think this is one of my favorite looks of the week. As we all know, not everyone looks this good in a pant suit. Also, her makeup is above flawless. Super Beautiful!!!

    She looks phenomenal!
