As gorgeous as Scarlett Johansson looked on the red carpet for ‘The Avengers’ in Hollywood, California last night, Cobie Smulders did one better.
The actress upstaged her co-star by looking drop-dead gorgeous wearing a Donna Karan Spring 2012 dress.
Even with the modified plunging neckline, the actress still set temperatures soaring.
Her sleeveless patchwork gown with copper and black sequined embellishments was styled with loose wavy tumbling locks and a crystallized copper clutch.
Cobie lived up to her name by smouldering on the red carpet.
She was easily my favourite on the red carpet at this event as she books herself a place in the BDOTW list.

Since it’s an action movie premiere aimed at Males more than Females, I don’t have a problem with Scarlett’s dress or Cobie’s look – it’s not Oscar/Emmy red carpet attire, but it’s enough without ‘over-doing’ it at a premiere for such a film.
I’m dyign here. Scarlett looks better than normal, imo, but this is a properly sexy bomshell look. Her Emmy Gown is an unforgettable look, and now this is too. I love the back, it is grown up glamour at it’s finest.
I wonder if this’ll be the trend. The supporting characters being better dressed than the leads, because gosh, Cobie over Scarlett any day. BDOTW worthy!

I am really preferring Scarlett in this case! Cobie’s face/hair/makeup are beautiful but I REALLY dislike the dress. Between the strange colors and complicated pattern, the plunging neckline and cheap looking fabric, I think it’s quite tacky and overdone.
Wow +1! I had to go to Getty Images to get a clearer shot at the dress and it didn’t get me to like it better.
She looks great, but not fantastic and I definetely prefer Scarlett’s simpler but more effective look. Cobie’s dress kinda reminds me of a darker and longer version of a figure skating suit (which, by definition, isn’t the epitome of good taste).

Its a miss for me. I dont care for the fit through the middle.
The fit through the middle would also be my complaint, seems a bit too wide around the waist/stomach.
But other than that she is totally selling this dress to me with sexy confidence, much prefer this over Scarlett’s look. BDOTW worthy for me.

I will probably be in the minority here, but this dress is really ugly to me. There is just too much going on. Besides that, the fit seems “off”. I actually prefer Scarlett’s look.
