It’s usually hard to pick one favourite dress from a season, but the Zac Posen Spring 2012 tulle edelweiss embroidered gown was my favourite by a very long mile.
I had hoped to see the gown on the red carpet during awards season, so when time passed by my next hope was to see it at the Met Gala next month.
My heart did skip a beat when I saw the gorgeous Coco Rocha wearing my favourite gown to the 9th annual Spring Dinner Dance New Year’s In April: A Fool’s Fete at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City last night.
I couldn’t think of a more worthy candidate to wear this gown (excluding Iman of course).
The supermodel grabs the first BDOTW nomination looking sensational in the breath-taking gown.
I love how graceful and elegant she looks and that she opted to wear her hair up to show off those butterfly wings.

+1. Also prefer the polished marcel waves on the runway over Coco’s shaggy ‘do. However, the beautiful embroidered overlay pooling at her feet is really spectacular.
+1. It is a spectacular dress, no question, but I prefer everything about it on the runway. The shoulder detail on Coco looks like fairy wings. I also think her hairstyle is WAY too casual for a dress of this importance.

all that sheer paneling above the bust is a fail. If she were going to a Little Mermaid premiere I might be able to handle this.
This gown was one of my favorites too and finally we got to see it on the red carpet. Coco looks enchanting. BDOTW worthy for sure.

She looks beautiful, but I can’t help feeling a little disappointed – I wished someone like Kate Winslet had worn this dress at a bigger event.
I do wish someone with more curves had worn this dress but I think Kate would have drowned in it. It needs height and Katie, while beautiful and a real woman, is not very tall. Coca works it but I think the runway model OWNS it.
Perfection from the neck down. The messy hair and makeup are the only thing keeping this from earning a 10 for me.
I am not loving this as much as everyone else. I think her hair could have looked more polished. I also think someone with more curves would have looked better in this dress as well.

The hair is certainly a bit of let down, but the beautiful gown looks fantastic on her, don’t feel the need to wish someone curvier would’ve worn it. BDOTW worthy no doubt.

The dress is perfect, no doubt, and she surely can pull them off, but I just canť get over Coco’s messy hair and the fact that the colour completely washes her out. For me, it’s thumbs down.
