Zhang Ziyi attended the China Film Directors’ Guild Awards held at the Olympic Sports Center in Beijing, China on Sunday evening, where she picked up the ‘Actress of the Year’ award.
We’ve seen the actress wear a lot of Dior and Armani in the past, but on this occasion she opted for a look by Japanese label, Toga.
The look consists of a long sleeve printed bodysuit paired with a black tulle skirt and a patent leather belt.
Her Spring 2012 look was styled with an Alexander McQueen clutch, Chanel black-and-gold tassel earrings and Gucci black patent pumps.
This is an interesting, daring look for Zhang Ziyi who tends to play it safe in princess-like gowns for these types of occasions.

Mmmmhhh…I think this COULD actually look cute with a few adjustments (first of all, if the skirt was just a tad less see-through).
Also, I understand that they were chosen to match the belt, but I hate those shoes.
Good for her to try something new, however.
+1, in everything

Completely agree.
I’m not a fan of this.
Hi, does anyone knows what is the brand of her watch?
Omega?
Amazing!I like her style.
Not a fan of her red nail color…it seems awkward, doesn’t match with her outfit
I ADORE the look on the model – she’s tiny as heck, the skirt is less see-though and shorter.
I absolutely hate it on Ziyi.
Even though I am Team Ziyi- I’ve adored her elegance for four years- I can’t get on board with this particular style leap.
I would have worn different shoes but other than that I love this look.
I think I am one of few who thinks this is a lovely look …
Amazingly, I really like this and I am usually not a fan of the sheer skirt over body-suit look. Probably like this one better because the bottom of the body-suit is more like shorts than like panties. I think she looks amazing here–no quibbles from me.
It is very different new look, So lovely Ziyi!
Quite wonderful with more lining on the model. Way to sheer and distracting on Ziyi. She should have left well enough alone.
The tulle skirt feels like an odd addition, completely out of place, would’ve even preferred without it at all (although I understand it’s not such a good idea for the event), the footwear could’ve been more inspiring.
Kudos to her for steping outside her safety zone. I am not a fan of the see through skirt, though.
If the skirt were lined, I would have liked it. As it is, it’s silly and inappropriate. Also, the shoes are ugly.
WOW! that’s one hot dress! I want that one now!
i think she pulled this look!!
