At the Crown in New York City, stars gathered for a private dinner held in honour of the king, Mr Elie Saab.
The ladies were of course all dressed Elie Saab’s creations.
Emily Blunt is probably Mr Saab’s biggest celebrity fan alongside Fan Bingbing.
The British actress has worn his dresses on many occasions; most recently the Emmy’s and the Golden Globes.
On this occasion she wore a belted yellow ¾ sleeve dress which she teamed with an Elie Saab grey lame diamond clasp clutch.
Her spring dress is perfect for such an occasion and I will be eternally grateful to Emily for not killing the look with nude, black or white pumps or any type of clunky triple stacked platform heels.
Those yellow Sergio Rossi ‘Ophidia’ embellished sandals couldn’t be more perfect.
Love that red hot lip colour.
MEUS Designs earrings completed the look.

She looks picture perfect…. so elegant and pretty!
I agree. BDOTW. Emily makes me swoon. As does her goofy looking but adorbz husband.
simply fabulous
I adore the colour, I love the dress and the red lips are fantastic – but I am not feeling the look.
It clashes a bit with her skin-tone.
(It might just be the poor light, but honestly, when you are throwing party for the sole purpose of creating buzz for the clothes, you need to think about these things.)
Such a shame really, because otherwise this would have been absolutely amazing.
I agree: she’s obviously beautiful, the dress (and shoes) are amazing, but yellow is really not her color.
I must agree, I love Emily and I love everything about this look but I would not have chosen that yellow for her skin tone. I love that she’s gone with such a bold red against the yellow though. On the right skin tone this is a knock your socks off look….Emily hasn’t done that for me but she does look lovely. BTW FC, any chance of getting an idea of what that lip and nail color may be?
I simply must try that red and yellow combo!
I don’t like it (except for red lippie). She’s not selling this look to me, and the dress is usual for Saab’s standard.
The dress looks a bit wrinkled but I still like it on her.
BDOTW in my opinion. Love it.
+1
this color is just the best dress color in the world!
I LOVE IT! She looks so amazing. Love Emily Blunt.
nice
FC, how are you going to choose the list of dresses deserving to be BDOTW?
It’s already done…it was fairly easy to pick 10 this week.
It will post later this evening.
I love this look. I love ES……
Love the colour of the dress, but just not on Emily. It’s doing nothing for her complection, washing her out completely.
I think she looks great!
The clutch keeps me away from loving the whole look. If I ignore it, she looks great.
I love yellow dresses. I need a pretty one for summer.
What a cute dress! And I love her make up.
She has a very pale complexion, so maybe it’s true that yellow is not really her colour. However, I love this look. Beautiful dress + pretty lady + great accessories + flawless makeup = WIN.
Elegant dress. I think that she’s a bit uncomfortable with the open neckline, as she pushing her shoulders way back (at least that’s what it looks like). Other than that, I like it! The shoes are AWESOME, because black pumps would have killed it…or white (lol FC I don’t think you could handle another pair after La La’s)
I would have gone with a pink lip and pink nails, though. The red/yellow combo is a bit too harsh for me, but she still looks good.
I love Emily’s style, she’s always so classy. She looks lovely here, I especially like the red lipstick paired with the yellow dress.
love the reds!
I do like Xtina – but take note, this is how you wear red lipstick without OVER doing it.
She is absolute perfection, from head to toe!! So beautiful and I love the red lips and nails!
