The promo tour for ‘Battleship’ continues, making its next stop in Japan earlier today.
Rihanna joined her co-stars on the USS George Washington at U.S. Fleet Activities Yokosuka for the photocall to promote the movie which opens in Japan on April 13.
The singer/actress wore a Givenchy Fall 2012 look which hails the return of her natural hair colour.
She wore a black turtleneck sweater with a light beaded detail, and black harem pants.
Black pumps and Givenchy long black leather opera gloves completed her look.
I prefer the runway styling as I’m missing the belt.

The outfit is bad.
The new hairstyle is even worse.
But the hair colour is such an improvement that I am completely willing to overlook those two things and give her a pass.

This look is a hot mess–too baggy, too much black, too MUCH (the gloves)..but I am so glad that she’s lost the blond hair. Now if only she could have gone without shaving part of her head… SIGH

Finally a hair colour I can root for! Hopefully she makes better choices to accompany her much improved hair.
Not a fan of the gloves but I like the outfit otherwise. I don’t think it’s appropriate for the event tho.
On the plus side, she looks absolutely gorgeous with that black hair. Much more flattering and really shows off her face.
Personally, I love this! I like how she paired two kind of billowy pieces together. I think it works.
Also apparently her natural hair color like a dark blond color. So even this isn’t her natural color but it definitely suits her! To be fair though I think she can pull off any hair color.

i think it is interesting that she chose this look for the japanese part of the tour. i think she is playing with the fashion culture in japan that really is much more different and interesting then say london or nyc
LOL, someone must tell this girl that there is a middle way in between of going out without your pants (and on the London tube, nevertheless! I’m still hoping she didn’t take a seat!) and getting all covered up in black like this…She looks ready to join the Night’s Watch.
I’m glad she’s not blonde any more, but this hair colour doesn’t feel natural either. It’s just too black. Let’s hope it’s going to light up a bit and become more brunette.

I hate it. I thought she was Ciara and that’s not a good thing. This is a miss. I hate it when Rihanna forces the edgy just as much as I hate it when she forces the sexy. This isn’t a flattering look- especially the top, which made me think she was pregnant for 4 seconds.
Well,i do not remember Rihanna looking so bad in ages..!Really, my eyes heart; and i doubt is the photographer’s fault.

It’s not my favorite outfit, and I am not wild about the shaved area on her head, but still somehow she just carries it off for me. The outfit makes much more sense from the side, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a poor choice.
This is boring for Rhianna, except for her more natural hair coloring which is refreshing. Too bad her costar Taylor Kitsch isn’t in the picures. He definitely wouldn’t have been boring.

The shoes are far too simple / dull for the look. I wish she’d opted for edgier shoes.
