Manuela Velasco stunned on the red carpet at the 2012 Goya Awards, held in Madrid earlier this year, wearing a Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 gown.
The TV presenter teamed her off-white, taupe and sepia dot-print silk-chiffon pleated gown with antique silver crystal embroidery with an unexpected blue clutch.
On Olivia Wilde the gown looks totally different. Matronly is how many of you described her look.
The actress wore her dress to the 2012 Jameson Empire Awards in London this weekend.
With her red carpet mojo still M.I.A. and for pairing this gown with clunky black pumps, this was an easy win for Manuela.

It’s pretty unbelievable how the same dress can lead to such different results. On Manuela, it looks über chic, fresh and incredibly gorgeous, but on Olivia it looks deformed, matronly and, as someone said on the other post, very close to a medieval costume. You don’t even need to go all the way to Olivia’s bizarre shoe choice to dislike her look.

I was also thinking it looked like a medieval costume or armor.
None.
olivia is bitter and more sexier than manuela

I love the look on Manuela and I don’t like it on Olivia. I think some of the reasons are:
- Manuela’s belt is tighter, showing the waist and giving the dress a feminine shape
- also because of the belt, the dress looks shorter on Manuela, flowing more beautifully
- the photo/light is not in Olivia’s favour, because it doesn’t allow the sleeves’ transparency to be seen on its full potential [and it also shows a too bright face]
Definitely Manuela. Or the model hehe
She is so beautiful, like a cheshire cat but she never really gets the clothes right. Her clothes don’t live up to the status of her face. Her clothing choices detract from her beauty and this pick is no different.
Manuela definitely looks better here, but I wonder how much that same background would affect Olivia’s look. That horrible Empire Awards billboard would make almost any dress less appealing.
so true: Manuela looks fresh and youthful in it, while Olivia looks matronly. Her makeup is tragic, but, I hate to say it, I think it’s the drooping bustline and drooping waistband that are the main culprits.
