Brooklyn Decker In Stella McCartney – ‘Battleship’ London Photocall

Brooklyn Decker was basking in the sunshine on the rooftop of The Corinthia Hotel in London this afternoon for the photocall for her latest movie ‘Battleship’.

The blonde beauty donned a piece from the Stella McCartney Spring 2012 collection.

This is surprising considering so many have tried and failed; in most cases miserably.

On Brooklyn the verdict is not bad.

I don’t love the dress because I still can’t get past the black-and-white embroidery plus the mesh panels, but with her hair styled like the runway model and for keeping the look clean, she fairs better than the rest.

My only criticism is the shoes.

They should’ve been simpler. I’m not a fan of the criss-cross detail against the prints and all that detail on the dress.

She looks great. Fresh & whimsical, it actually fits nicely with the London backdrop.

I keep hoping that this collection will fade away . . .

I keep hoping it will spontaneously combust. Awful, just awful.

Haha I totally agree. This collection was TERRIBLE–please, will it ever go away?

Brooklyn is stunnig, and I usually like her style, but even she can’t save this collection. Probably no one can.

This is good compared to the other ones.
    ITA about the shoes.

  4. robbie March 28, 2012 at 17:12 #

a nice pair of strappy sandals would have been far nicer. but the dress is gorgeous on her.

  5. Christine March 28, 2012 at 17:21 #

No one can make this collection work…..not even Kate Moss

  6. Sara March 28, 2012 at 17:23 #

hmm, don’t like the boob swirl and it’s not very flattering. I’d hate to see what it looked like on someone who didn’t have a spectacular body.

  7. Hannah March 28, 2012 at 17:52 #

I don’t get the allure of the collection, even in real life, it is clumsy & a bit ugly.
I agree that she doesn’t look terrible, this is probably this collection will ever look on a red carpet, but I still don’t like it.
Her shoes are Loboutin ‘Crosspiga’s, I think.

    can’t bear toe cleavage :(

  9. Hisadora March 28, 2012 at 18:24 #

Finally a look from this collection that is really nice!!! She looks gorgeous

  10. Ramsay March 28, 2012 at 18:41 #

That’s a first on the red carpet for this Stella Mccartney made for models-only collection, the real person (well the starlet) looks good in it!

  11. WendyB March 28, 2012 at 18:52 #

It’s just not a good dress.

  12. Jill March 28, 2012 at 19:05 #

but you have to admit she looks ridiculously great considering how terrible everyone else did wearing this collection. p.s. I thought of the shoes even before I read your comment, she should’ve worn nude shoes

  13. Jones19 March 28, 2012 at 19:12 #

It’s a hideous dress, that black hemline is just baffling. Not even one as gorgeous as Ms. Decker can make me like it.

  14. Charlotte March 28, 2012 at 19:44 #

think she deserves a place on BDOTW for simply being able to make this collection appear nice enough off the runway!

  15. Errun March 28, 2012 at 20:27 #

I think the hemline is kinda annoying!! It’s Wilma from The Flintstone’s couture!!

  16. Lou March 28, 2012 at 20:55 #

I disliked many of the pieces from this collection but Brooklyn has done really well here and makes it work… she looks much better than the model in my opinion. This is a great example of how different people can make a fashion look completely their own!

Stella McCartney Spring 2012: The year she made even models look terrible.

I’m a huge Stella fan all the way back from her days at Chloe. So proud of her sticking to her vegetarian guns in high fashion. But this collection is really sad looking.

  18. Sharon March 29, 2012 at 00:10 #

“this Stella Mccartney made for models-only collection” – perfectly described!
Brooklyn does look better than anyone else so far, although if a dress ever screamed for nude shoes, it’s this one, but I’m starting to really dislike the dress.

  19. Parvati March 29, 2012 at 00:31 #

Well, this collection might not have translated well on the red carpet, but that is not the case here. I think Brooklyn looks gorgeous and she pulls this off amazingly!

  20. bm March 29, 2012 at 02:30 #

No way, this look awful for both Brooklyn and Natalia.

  21. roxana March 29, 2012 at 07:03 #

    i don’t like it!

  22. manja March 29, 2012 at 08:37 #

it’s an ugly dress,no one can make it good, not even her

  23. Jess2 March 29, 2012 at 14:19 #

Such a bad collection, but this would have to be the best of the worst, or sometihng like that lol. Brooklyn is such a gorgeous woman!

  24. D March 30, 2012 at 19:41 #

hum it works okay. i like the shoe choice….

  25. Francy March 30, 2012 at 20:36 #

I’m sorry, I still need to find a look from this collection that’s looks good and I don’t understand why celebrities keep on wearing these outfits…
It’s really terrible, and I’m not even able to tell which Stella McCartney look we’ve seen worn so far is the worst. Not even the runway model can pull it off!!!! Please stop!
