Chloe Sevigny attended the Jeffery Fashion Cares 2012 event at the Intrepid Carrier in New York City last night.
I’ll be honest; I didn’t recognise Chloe at first. That’s because of the haircut and because the look’s uncharacteristically bad.
Whilst her style isn’t always to everyone’s taste, this Proenza Schouler Fall 2012 look is just sloppy on Chloe.
The exposed bra screams tacky and the ‘just got out of bed hair’ and lack of makeup tells me she just didn’t care to make an effort.
There is usually some finesse to Chloe’s quirky take on fashion, but I don’t see or feel it on this occasion.
I think Rihanna would’ve had more success with this look.

I don’t know why, but surprisingly I don’t mind this look. It’s a mess, but I don’t have strong feelings for it, maybe lukewarm like.

I can’t find ONE single thing that I like about this look. It’s completely and utterly awful. But the top top worst are her shoes… just NO… clogs are unforgivable.

I started out thinking that the hair was the saddest thing about the look..then I changed my mind and went with the tacky exposed bra, then to the sloppy skirt, and finally to those HORRORS unworthy of the name “shoe” and then–well, then I think I passed out! :O
I’ve never understood why Chloe is considered style icon. She always looks like a hot mess and people fawn all over her. Great legs though.

I love Chloë, but this was a miscalculation of gigantic proportions. ’90s grunge just isn’t at home at an event such as JFC, and even if it was this look is regardlessly trashy, topped off, not by the see-through top, but the see-through BRA. Ick.
Omg the top looks so very 80s style skanky and that black sash is an abomination!! yikes!
Normally, I would take no time to blame Proenza Schouler as I am wont to do, but this time the blame is solely on the actress. Good Heavens, girl! Even if she fell through the space-time continuum to the mid 1980s, this would still be a mess.
