Olivia Wilde was in London last night for the 2012 Jameson Empire Awards.
The actress wore a Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 gown for the occasion.
Her off-white, taupe and sepia dot-print silk-chiffon pleated gown with antique silver crystal embroidery is just lost on her.
On the model, the gown is so elegant, but it gets lost in translation on the red carpet.
This gown is so forgettable on Olivia, as she breathes no life into the look. Her red carpet mojo has been MIA for a while now; this proved that she’s yet to regain it.
Her look was teamed with a Jimmy Choo black clutch, black pumps and styled with a simple updo.
Black pumps? With this gown?
I’m truly baffled.

Black pumps with that dress? She freaking kidding? I guess beauty can only bring you this far.
Oh my god the shoes! Why?! An elegant pair of sandals, better posture and a sassier pose was all that was needed to make this work! I love the dress. But seriously, why the shoes?! Why?!
i didn’t like this gown on the runway because it made the model look boxy. on olivia it looks extremely matronly, like it was borrowed from her grandma. the shoes are just tragic!
Isn’t this the same dress that the spanish TV presenter Manuela Velasco wore on the 2012 Goya Awards? And she looked SO a million times better that it’s even hard to believe it’s the same dress.
I love Olivia, but she doesn’t look inspired at all with that piece. And the pumps are a real tragedy.
yes you are right…it doesn’t look like the same dress on Olivia..she ruined it
Manuela looked amazing, but I agree that Olivia isn’t breathing any life into the look. Sad, because she and the dress are beautiful. Sigh at the pumps.
She’s lost her mojo.
Her Jimmy Choo clutch is tempting, but it doesn’t fit with this easy-breezy dress. The pumps are out of plae.
it’s a beautiful dress on model, but on her looks like some medivial costume, and makes her look wide and boxy
The dress is very beautiful, and I like it on her, luckily it’s hard to see her black shoes, but I think she should have styled the hair the way of the model on the runway.
What happened to the sexy yet classy girl we all loved? This is one hot mess.
She is so beautiful!!
Not surprising since she shares the same stylist as Paul Patton. Two beautiful women who just can’t find their style medium. Sad!
This girl (and her stylist) need to stay away from anything kaftan-like/loose-fitting/matronly-looking.
She dresses soooooo old. Crying shame for someone with that figure and face.
I just saw Charlotte Casiraghi, and IMO this is way way worse.
So unflattering and so badly styled!
Her stylist is also Paula Patton’s stylist, apparently, which makes so much sense, does it not?
(except that she also styles Hailee Steinfeld & Chloe Sevigny which makes no sense to me)
this looks like it is from “Lady Guinevere” behind-the-scenes…
Not a good look. The black pumps make her look like she’s standing on black bricks.
The dress is way too long for her and it just doesn’t do her any justice cos she is very pretty.
I’m so over Olivia Wilde’s hit-or-miss persona. At this point I’m starting to think her stylist suffered a horrible accident that blinded her.
i really liked this until i saw the shoes…….:(:(:(
