Charlize Theron attended the 2012 Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala at the Ritz Carlton/JW Marriott this weekend, where she picked up the Ally for Equality Award.
The Oscar-winning actress looked beautiful as always, working the red carpet wearing an elegant black Acne frock.
Whilst she does look chic, I’m not in love with this dress.
I may have fallen in love with her dress had it been teamed with some interesting accessories.
Black sandals, a black Tom Ford black leather clutch, diamond-drop earrings and matching bangles are what she opted for to accessorize her look.
Her blonde tresses were knotted and swept to one side to provide the finishing touch.

Puzzling. Thanks for posting the pic of the dress on the model–you really can’t see the interesting details of this dress in any of the pix with Charlize. She is so beautiful that she could make a dishrag work, but I agree that this is a tad boring. But, she’s a new mom, so she is probably sleep deprived and distracted. We can give her a break this time.
I agree… the sheer bottom is missing on Charlize. She has legs for days, so she should show them off
I don’t think this dress is flattering- even on the model. Considering Charlize is one of the most gorgeous and fit women on Planet Earth, if a dress doesn’t look good on her- there is no hope for humanity. I would have loved to see her in something more edgy- even a suit would have worked since this is a more casual event.
Also, I hope she takes out her extensions. I LOVED her short hair. She’s one of the few people who can pull off any hairstyle but the short hair was just magical on her.
I think she looks better with long hair. I would like to see her with long wavy Veronica Lake hair.

Boring, but she is one of those women who are so beautiful, it doesnt matter what she wears because she will always look good.
I prefer her in simple looks like this because her beauty shines this way when it doesn’t have to compete with distracting things. Angelina and Charlize can pull off simple black.
Do not like black colour on Charlize to begin with(couldn’t really get on board with any of her black looks), black is a bit too harsh for her natural soft beauty, I prefer lighter warmer colours on her.
Without any pretty interesting accessories, this does look gloomy and boring.
She does wear a lot of black, but somehow I don’t get tired of it as I do with Angelina. Charlize is just so gorgeous that she brings everything she wears up a notch. This isn’t the best dress, but she brings more life to it than the runway model.

But, looking at the model below, yeah, as a normal person, i’ll never wanna wear that dress.
