Ashanti visited the Power 99 iHeartRadio Theater in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania yesterday.
The was there to premiere her new single ‘The Woman You Love’.
She sported a very spring-like look pairing a pink shirt with skinny airbrushed Rag & Bone jeans and an A.L.C ‘Zoe’ blazer mint collarless blazer with a mock black lapel.
Christian Louboutin nude platform peep-toes completed the look.
You have to wonder what the thought process was when putting together this look.
I mean, it looks like she’s going golfing.

It’s awful, she made the jacket look cheap.
I think her shoes are Louboutin Highness and not Giuseppe Zanotti but I may be wrong.

Part of her problem, I feel, is that she has not made the transition from early 2000′s when she hit it big, to 2010′s and beyond. That high pony with the fake hair over one shoulder, the large gold hoops, the “blinged out” fingers… it’s all so passe. I feel like she (or her stylist) doesn’t know how to bring it all forward to the current decade and what is happening in fashion.

how she managed to mess up a simple stylish look is beyond me. it’s a great timeless concept but from head to toe there’s at least one thing that is off/wrong (hair, shirt, pants)
1) That jacket is too small for her to have it pulled together 2) One size up in the jeans (which I love) would have helped 3) Is she wearing sunglasses indoors? I can’t…
What’s bothering me most about this terrible look is that everything looks at least a couple of sizes small. I mean, those trousers and that jacket look like they’re about to explode!
She totally ruined the jacket, which is really pretty on its own.

This is an incoherent look tbh. I like the colours but that’s it. The fit of EVERYTHING is horrible, the drawstring ponytail looks a mess and those shades are ridiculous.
I think she and/or her stylist tried too hard to be ‘unique’ and just ended up looking awkward.
Everything is 2 sizes too small for her!
Train wreck. Head to toe, something is wrong everywhere. The fit is terrible. The hair is awful. The colors are too much together.
