Earlier today in Tokyo, Japan, Michelle Williams attended a press conference at the ‘Imperial Hotel’ for her movie, ‘My Week With Marilyn’.
On this occasion she wore something more colourful, opting for a watermelon-pink Valentino dress.
Her gorgeous dress with an asymmetrical neckline and bow on the shoulder was kept simple once again with just nude peep-toes.
A soft pink colour perfected her pout.
How do you feel about Michelle going for a sweet, minimalist look once again?

How to Achieve the Classic Blowout

I LOVE her here. For me BDOTW.
Agreed, BDOTW! This dress reminds me a lot of her Valentino SAG dress.
Today, I read that she hired the famous Kate Young as her stylist during awards season (and I’m assuming is still styling her)… I’m a little baffled. Kate Young is responsible for some really really boring looks this awards season? This look is very sweet but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before.
Best she has ever looked. Love it.
So adorable !
This is definitely the best way to describe her outfit: absolutely adorable!
Adorable is the best word to describe this look on Michelle!
I love the color of her dress and the amazing shade of lipstick. I think she looks radiant!
+1
completely agree with you. she is adorable…..
I agree. This is perfectly ‘her’, but also different. She usually goes with the same cut and colour, but the pink is fantastic and I love the neckline.
I don’t have a problem with the dress, though I’m close to being irked how she holds her head to the side. To twee for me.
i love her minimalist look is great on her.
best dress contender !
I absolutely love her and this dress¡¡
+1
I love this dress
love the sleek neckline! and the colour
I LOVE this x1000000000
“Superbe!” This is the word the first word that came to my mind when I saw the pictures.
BDOTW for me too!
+1! It is absolute perfection! Just as her SAG dress did, this watermelon confection suits Michelle’s style perfectly. It may be simple but je l’adore! BDOTW contender!
love
Yes, this is more like it Michelle!
I don’t know how come people don’t like her style. I think it fits her personality perfectly. I like it very much. You should wear what you feel comfortable in it even if it’s boring to fashion standards. There is nothing worse than when someone is trying too hard fashionwise ( take a note Rihanna and Katy Perry ). I feel like she’s always happy in what she’s wearing ecpet when they try to make her look which she is not IMO. She has her beauty, not everyone should or wants to look like a versace girl.
I agree. Her style fits who she seems to be. It’s sweet without being sugary and it never feels contrived.
J’adore. Fit, color, the smile and a feeling she is actually present and engaged. BDOTW-worthy for me.
I agree, and just yesterday I criticized her for lacking any animation – I stand corrected today, she does look, as you say, ‘engaged’, and oh so pretty too.
Sorry I meant sexy
This would be my choice for BDOTW, if I had to choose between her and Nicole below. She looks flawless.
gotta love her, just like a candie
i adore her!
Adorable. I could never picture her in Balmain. If it works stick with what suits you.
I LOVE this!!! In my opinion she can be a minimalist all she wants if she keeps wearing bright colors! She looks so pretty! I also love that this has a neckline (well, more of a neckline than most of her looks anyways)
This is the best Michelle have ever look so far this year! Simple, sleek, sweet yet chic and high fashion. Viva Valentino!
Very-very good. The colour, cut, fit, her make-up is flawless. Oooh, sooo good.
She’s lovely – radiant
Love it on her. She looks lovely.
Best she has ever looked!
I have to agree with other commenters… This is the best I’ve seen her look. The color is strong enough that it doesn’t need much and it compliments her coloring beautifully. I adore the little shoulder/sleeve detail and this dress works perfectly on her shape. I hope to see more of this punchy color on her, it makes her come alive.
Nice.
GAHH. GOSHH WPYTWOWTEWTWE. This is almost perfect. I would still love to see this up for BDOTW but I wish, again, that she’d opted for some kind of jewelry or a clutch.
So lovely
I can’t help it, I smiled everytime I looked at this pictures, she lights up the room she’s in. BDOTW please.
BDOTW. It’s hard to pull off sophisticated AND adorable but somehow she’s doing it.
Wow – I gasped as I saw this. She looks amazing. I am not sure if it is the lighting or background, she is glowing. She looks sweet, elegant and sexy at the same time. BDOTW for me!!
This is gorgeous, the best look she’s worn in a long time I think.
Wow – what a difference a day makes right? She has done a complete 180 degree flip in terms of her presence on the red carpet. Her Alexander McQueen dress was beautiful, she just has no presence to pull it off.
But THIS! It feels like she read all of the comments and took note. She looks interested for a change and not just standing there awkwardly. A smile and different posture can change so much in an outfit sometimes.
However, my one criticism is her peep-toe heels she loves. Lose them! IMO a lot of the time, peep-toe come off as tacky.
The color is beautiful on her. similar color to her Oscars gown. I really like this and her smile is cute.
Ohhhh she looks so gorgeous!
Beautiful. She looks adorable but still elegant, confident and grown-up – not that meek little school-girl vibe that she sometimes gives off. The colour and neckline are gorgeous.
OMG! I love this!
She looks amazing in this colour! Love that she matched her lip colour.
One of my favorite looks from her ever.
10/10
Beautiful color on Michelle. It feels a hair sweet with the pixie coat. All in all, lovely.
Lovely from head to toe. No accessories again, but with the colour and style it works unlike with the McQueen from the other day which was crying out for something.
BTOTW contender!
She looks absolutely brilliant.
Beautiful!
Definitely one of her best looks! BDOTW for me! And finally, a smile!
a darling, delightful confection.
Finally, a look of Michelle Williams that I really like! A very cute dress in a gorgeous colour!
Damn, girl, it’s about time your dress catches up with the beauty of your face/hair. She looks sleek, feminine, sophisticated, fresh and event appropriate. Go Michelle!
Perfection – not in the least because she looks so comfortable and happy. Many of her looks recently have looked a little forced and she’s seemed slightly uncomfortable. Here, she’s just glowing – and not only because of the color.
I love it! No doubt, the best look of Michelle
But i wouldn’t say it’s minimalistic, considering the color and the bow detail
I wonder, what lipstick is that one, it’s fantastic!
This is a beautiful dress on her, she is wearing her signature style but better. Perhaps it is the colour and fit, plus the way she is standing is so much better than her uncomfortable feet together pose she usually favours. I wish she’d splash out on some fun jewellery, just for a fun element.
This is darling. What a beautiful color on her! Her smile shows how much she loves it, too.
I have to agree–this is a knockout
I really love this on her. It helps that shes smiling beautifully!
She looks fantastic. I like that the first thing I thought of when I saw this bold color was Marilyn’s classic “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” dress.
She had me at the colour , love.. love.. and love the styling.. how lovely does she look in the 2nd pic
BDOTW
She been looking beautiful lately.
Love it. Beautiful smile.
michelle knows how to wear color period.
She looks like a doll.. so perfect for her!
Love this fresh, vibrant colour; it makes her skin look so youthful! Only thing I would have done differently is adding a simple bracelet or bangle
