Awards season might be over, but Michelle Williams is still promoting ‘My Week With Marilyn’.
The actress is currently in Toyko for the Japan premiere which took place at Roppongi Hills earlier today.
Michelle opted for a very simple Alexander McQueen oyster-white draped dress from the Spring 2012 collection.
No accessories, no jewels, just a gorgeous white dress with dark pink lips.
The beauty of this look is in its simplicity.
Do you agree?

She does look very beautiful, i’m missing one thing, maybe a diamond stud earring or clutch?
Yes, something is missing. Maybe longer locks ?
I actually like the short locks on her, not so “typical hollyweird extensions”
I agree, some element is missing. I would have like to see the waist nipped in by one of those incredible McQueen belts.
Simply put, her stylist despises her. There’s no other explanation for her consistently awful looks.
Sadly, agreed.
I agree she does look beautiful. Maybe someone else will wear the dress and add some gorgeous jewels.
I like the close up shot, but overall it’s a little on the dull side for my taste.
how about just blah and boring and does nothing for her body, and could use some lovely jewels.
I love it
+1
It somehow looks incomplete. She looks beautiful no doubt, but I feel she can do this kind of look in her sleep. We have seen her do this too many times.
I think she’s making a nice dress look so drab! I’m so missing some funk.
I love the look in its simplicity, it´s perfect the way it is (just wish the gown was nipped a tad more at the waist). However, what´s needed here is some sultry graceful presence and elegance, Michelle lacks the mature grace (standing there like a school girl) to carry off the simplicity of this look without ending up looking bland and boring.
I have to agree, your description really describes my feelings perfectly. I want to like this dress and Michelle is so beautiful, but also, so lacking in animation of any kind – pity…
+1. She doesn’t have the gravitas to own this look.
Desperately needs definition at the waist and some at least an earring.
I agree with you 100%. She lacks the bearing to bring a simple look like this to life.
This.
Pretty, but that poor woman must be fed up by now!
I think she looks good, she is a bit of a hit or miss for me – but this definitely gives her some height. Sometimes she gets it right like the Indie Spirit Awards, that was dressing for her size. Others, I feel she looks to tiny to be wearing a dress like the Golden Globes.
This is nice – but I agree with Andrew that she looks fed up. She always looks bored, whether she hates the promo, or over this film, she should at least flash a smile with interest then move along quickly.
I think she needs some earrings. A nice pair of studs would have been nice.
It looks like she’s wearing a pendant necklace in the first shot. Gorgeous face and makeup, but just a little more something, perhaps small diamond studs might have been nice.
Michelle Williams has the same expression in almost all her photo ops. Her clothes cannot do all the work. She should be providing the oomph factor..the clothes can only do so much..
SHE’S very beautiful and I think that head shot of her is breathtaking. But I feel like a clutch or some jewelry would have perfected this look.
Beautiful!!
Would have been perfect with a pair of studs!!
From the neck up she always looks polished but the neck down is so hit or miss or bland it’s not even worth it anymore. Her clothing choices do not live up to the standards of her face and hair.
A belt on this dress would finish it and less fullness in the skirt would make her look tall and lean.
Perfection from head to toe. The minimalism is so breathtaking.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
I think she looks great, her makeup is perfect, but with her hair earrings would have looked better.
I’m just so over her boring fashion and pinched little face. Meh.
I love this dress and I love it on her. I would have preferred to see more of this during awards season than the ill-fitting, oddly structured dresses she wore.
I’m wondering, did she do something to her lips? She’s always had full lips but there is something about her pout that is off-putting. I hope not, Michelle is one of the few successful and talented Hollywood actresses that hasn’t gone all “cat-face” on us.
I agree with you, FC. The dress is gorgeous and the make up is so beautiful.
I absolutely agree
Less is more right? She looks stunning that dress is very beautiful! xx
the beauty may be the simplicity, but the fugly is the awful shape.
It is very boring. She should let her hair grow.
Her face is beautiful and radiates calm, but fit of dress is depressing, v-plunge and shoulders and whole overwhelming shapeless thing. I am all for no accessories though because honestly a clutch is a useless thing most of the time
She looks old-Hollywood in the close-up shot. I love her eyes.
yeahhh..she’s pretty here but she’s beginning to bore me.She has to take risk sometimes.
It’s way too simple . Rose McGowan and Zoe Saldana can bring this look to life . This look is lifeless on her .
A bit… bare, but not too bad.
Mia Farrow-esque! Flawless makeup and love the gown.
perfect!
Eh..I would have preferred some accessories.
Although I prefer a bit more embellishement/jewelry, Michelle looks lovely in this simple look. In the closeup she looks radiant! I give this looks a thumbs-up
