Sonia Rykiel’s Fall 2012 collection consisted of easy sporty pieces which had a surprisingly spring-like feel, but the black ear warmers worn by every model reminded you that this was a Fall collection.
We saw plenty of summery chiffon dresses alongside neutral chunky knits and shearling coats.
There was also a masculine-feminine split too, as boxy suits and double-breasted coats were presented alongside sweet sweaters over blouses, trompe l’oeil shirt dresses, fitted knitted pencil skirts worn low on the hips, belted long-sleeve dresses and sheer dresses with sexy thigh-high splits.
New creative director April Crichton very much captured the spirit of the Sonia Rykiel girl/woman.
Everything was easy and wearable with key accessories including ankle-strap wedges and shoulder bags.
The finale is always fun, as models get a chance to finally smile for the first time in four weeks.
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Kate Bosworth, Kirsten Dunst, Keira Knightley, Jaime King and Rachel Bilson.

I really like the ease of this collection, especially the belted sweater with the sweater skirt look. Very fresh and sporty without relying on outlandish details. Very cool collection.
Too relaxed for me–bordering on sloppy.
