Evan Rachel Wood attended Amnesty International’s Secret Policeman’s Ball on Sunday in New York City.
The actress opted for yet another stylish menswear-inspired ensemble, this time she picked the first look from the Jason Wu Fall 2012 collection.
This collection had a lot more attitude than we are used to seeing from the designer known for his girlie girl pieces, so I think it’s right that someone like Evan was the first to wear this collection.
Evan paired an ivory blouse with her sleek black velvet suit which had gold button detailing.
Animal print Christian Louboutin pumps gives the look touch of spice, whilst she completed her look with neutral makeup and wavy cropped locks.

Yes, she looks good. Wish she wasn’t posing that way, as it throws off the lines of the suit, but it is certainly chic.

I’m not tired at all. The question is: Why so few girls/women dare menswear? I’m tired of overdressing – big gowns to even a cocktail party or a movie premiere.

I don’t see this as menswear. Women have been wearing pantsuits for 40 years or so now. If she were wearing a tie and oxfords, I’d agree, but the blouse and heels are more traditionally feminine. No matter how it’s classified, her look is stunning.
Love it. No one does the men’s wear look like her.
The only thing I love here is the shoes. She should branch out a little bit, the suits are getting monotonous.
I would love to see something else from her, besides menswear looks. It looks great with her hair and everything but I do think it would be nice to have her in a dress or skirt, etc. I do, however, love this look. The shoes are the perfect touch.
