Lady Gaga has been very quiet for a while, so thankfully she was spotted arriving at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA yesterday to launch her ‘Born This Way Foundation.’
The singer was wrapped up and kept warm from the snow wearing a Prabal Gurung Fall 2012 coat.
I hadn’t pictured Gaga in this collection, but this black and oil spill neoprene molded seam flare coat is perfect for her as she loved pieces with a structured or sculptural edge.
She wore her coat with a full length black skirt, sheer black gloves and Prabal Gurung for Linda Farrow Projects sunglasses.
Red lips and a signature extravagant headpiece topped off her look.
Inside the venue Gaga removed her Prabal Gurung coat, to reveal a beautiful Sally LaPointe Fall 2012 dress.
Her black jersey backless peplum dress shows that Gaga can do sophisticated.
The singer has worn a sexy black LaPointe dress once before.

She’s drowning in fabric with that big coat and long skirt. Would have been better without the skirt or with perhaps leather tights.

Loving the coat with the iridescent sleeves. Loving the dress, hat, gloves combo too. The sunglasses are not flattering and make her nose look enormous.
While the coat is beautiful, I feel like Gaga is swallowed up in it. I love the bottom shot though, without the coat. The head piece is like a fantastic spider’s web and the sheer black gloves are the perfect compliment to it.
While the bold headpiece works and is an interesting element, the comical glasses completely bring everything down. It’s as if she deliberately adds some ridiculous/comical elements that turn any of her potentially “normal” sophisticated looks into a joke.

Love these looks, I especially love that she is still giving us her quirkiness with the headpiece but by going for a sophisticated look she isn’t forcing her uniqueness on us. Love love the Sally LaPointe dress.
I like it – both items: the dress and the coat are great (for any woman really) the styling is purely GaGa but that’s part of her act – we love her for it – I wonder if she pays for these outfits or they’re all rented – Do you have any idea FC?

I wish the skirt was a bit shorter, and that the sunglasses had been taken off inside, but otherwise I think she looks lovely. I like this version of the dress much more than the one she wore earlier.
