Alexa Chung rocked a sweet look on the red carpet at the NME Awards 2012, held at the Brixton Academy in London last night.
The British Fashion Council’s ‘Young Style Ambassador’ wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 navy lace dress.
Her dress which features a tiered skirt, black velvet trims and a cute bow on the neckline was teamed with black tights and black suede ankle strap peep-toes.
Alexa often adds a masculine element to her looks, but it was 100% girlie on this occasion.
Even her hair has some body to it.

Agree with Anj on the crazy eyes. And — whoa! — her legs. They make the model’s legs look huge in comparison. That’s alarming. I hope it’s partly the weird camera angle. Maybe she should go without the dark tights, they’re TOO slimming.
I had that same sentiment seeing pictures of her at fashion week shows. I know she’s denied being anorexic but the fact is clearly evident that she is underweight. If it’s not a health issue like a thyroid problem, then she chooses to be that way, and that’s problematic.
Judging by her appearance, thyroid problem has always been my guess (my apologies if I’m wrong). She looks more like someone who suffers from overproduction of thyroid hormone (hence the sickly thinness and the “crazy-eyed” staring gaze) rather than an eating disorder.
My problem with her is if indeed she has a health issue, and she can’t help but look this way, she needs to find a better/more flattering style for her appearance, opt for chic pant suits, longer skirts ensembles, etc. and keep her hair a bit neater.
Zuzanna looks beautiful here. Alexa looks, like, actually deranged and mental.

Agree completely. I was wondering why the dress looks so cheap on her and how that can possibly be Valentino. The ‘messy on purpose but still i somehow look like I spent hours on this’ hair doesn’t help in the slightest.

I love the dress, but she’s got a major case of crazy eyes in that picture. It’s kind of freaking me out.
She needs to go for chic and sophisticated, cover up those legs, opt for longer skirts, chic pant suits/ensembles (she totally rocked Stella McCartney grey pant suit at Elle Style Awards) instead of sweet girlie, all these cute short dresses do nothing for her and better be left in the past.

I think it fits her well because she is so slight that the volume is flattering. She has such tiny tiny bones.
