My vote goes to Dita but Paz Vega was my favourite of the entire night

  2. Henrique February 28, 2012 at 01:39 #

By the way, thanks for your hard work, FC. Always love your coverage

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 11:15 #

      thank you x

  3. EmmaWoodhouse February 28, 2012 at 01:39 #

Katie for looking her best ever, Rosie for being characteristically fabulous, and Lily for embracing her fairytale role. :)

  4. sergioA February 28, 2012 at 01:42 #

I think Karolina Kourkova should also be on this list. She wore the most beautiful jumpsuit by Armani Prive and looked every inch the super model she is. Besides that, I love the fact she gave us something different by not wearing a dress.

  5. Bec February 28, 2012 at 01:48 #

So hard to pick just one! Lucky I have my laptop, phone and iPad so I can vote for a few different ones!! 😀

  6. bm February 28, 2012 at 02:11 #

Four thumbs up for your oscar coverage.
My favorite here are : Katie, Olga, Emma, and Rosie.
I think Diane and J-Lo doesn’t belong here, but it’s already your choice, i appreciate it.

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 11:14 #

      many thanks

  7. nat February 28, 2012 at 02:19 #

I’d have included Paz Vega; with Emma Stone… my favourite ones.

  8. gabis February 28, 2012 at 02:22 #

    No Olivia Wilde? Seriously :(

  9. Dirk February 28, 2012 at 02:23 #

I went with J.Lo purely because her dress has the color of a delicious looking drink.

  10. Ariel February 28, 2012 at 03:14 #

No one really blew me away. Is it me or is this years Oscars and its after parties failed to wow? Overall, Cameron got both of my votes. Sonam’s recent front row (D&G, Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli) looks blows everyone away. Hopefully, you will look into it FC after getting as much rest needed after your beautiful coverage of the Oscars.

  11. bee7 February 28, 2012 at 04:00 #

thank you FC for your hard work and the amazing coverage!

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 11:12 #

      my pleasure. thank you

  12. Andrea February 28, 2012 at 04:14 #

The After Parties were sooooooooooo much better than the Oscars, what a shame, but, at least they gave us something on the after ones :)

  13. Linda February 28, 2012 at 04:19 #

Elizabeth! Olga a very, very close second.

  14. Riosanna February 28, 2012 at 04:19 #

This may be the hardest poll ever you posted FC :)

All of them are remarkable, I voted for Katie Holmes, but everybody else deserves to be best dressed

  15. mandy February 28, 2012 at 04:45 #

This is even harder than the Oscar’s best dressed !!

  16. chrigid February 28, 2012 at 06:40 #

Am I the only one who thinks Chanel would be spinning in her grave?

  17. Iris February 28, 2012 at 07:12 #

this was one of the hardest polls EVER.

  18. CreoleLady February 28, 2012 at 08:25 #

What a fabulous array of colors, textures and silhouettes! Even Emma’s dress is no ordinary LBD. My “best white/minimalist” was Paz Vega in Rolland and now I’m going to pick my best use of color. There are some seriously strong contenders here! BTW, thanks for this new picture of Venus. I couldn’t really see the dress before but I love it now that I can (legs for days).

  19. Emi February 28, 2012 at 09:05 #

Oh my gosh… so many gorgeous gowns!!

  20. Pablo February 28, 2012 at 10:28 #

I’m missing Paz Vega and Kae Bosworth (my fave) on this poll but I understand the “Parties” poll was actually quite tough to narrow down as the Parties were far more interesting than the main event!

Other than that silly and regular complaint :) I want to thank you, like other readers have, for the hard work. You’re spoilling us with such outstanding coverage of Ellie Saab Night (Oscar, I meant)! 😉

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 10:51 #

      DAMN IT

totally missed Kate..I’m adding her now, even though it means starting the whole poll again.

  21. A. February 28, 2012 at 10:33 #

I want RHW to win this poll, she really did look awesome. very ethereal quality about this look.

  22. christine February 28, 2012 at 10:47 #

it is beyond me how you could include this Elizabeth Banks look and not Kate Bosworth’s.

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 11:01 #

It was a mistake…I have corrected it

Please note I was blogging for 24 hours with 4 hours rest. I am human and humans make mistakes. Especially those on little sleep.

  23. T from Sydney February 28, 2012 at 10:56 #

god this is much harder than the actual oscar red carpet polll!!!!

  24. mandy February 28, 2012 at 11:42 #

Catherine, here’s to you being the best fashion blogger. Your coverage on the Oscar and the after party was just amazing. Great great job!

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 18:13 #

You guys kept me going so thank you x

  25. TeaAtTwo February 28, 2012 at 12:12 #

Paz Vega was my personal favourite but I also thought Cameron (for pulling off orange well), Dita (for being her usual glamour puss) looked great. Also kudos to Elizabeth for wearing such a bold dress.

  26. june February 28, 2012 at 12:36 #

i love how every single look here is interesting and and gorgeous (unlike most of the oscars)

  27. Erik February 28, 2012 at 12:36 #

The moment I saw Elizabeth Banks I knew she would be my best dressed.. Emma Stone gave me a hard time since she looked amazing but I voted for Elizabeth.

Thanks for the amazing coverage FC! x

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 18:12 #

      My pleasure Erik

  28. Rahel February 28, 2012 at 13:09 #

The afterparty dresses look better than the Oscar dresses.

  29. Jones19 February 28, 2012 at 13:13 #

This is a much better (and harder) poll than the red carpet one. So many great looks! In the end I had to go with Katie Holmes in Elie Saab, I wish she would have walked the red carpet in that beautiful creation. Thanks for all the coverage FC, you’re such a hard worker!

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 18:08 #

      My pleasure. Thank u x

  30. Nat February 28, 2012 at 14:07 #

I’m going with Dita on this poll, but there are definitely several looks that I like (more than on the actual Oscar night, I would say).

Thanks for the great coverage, FC! I hope that now you’ll be able to finally get some rest&sleep!

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 18:06 #

Yes thank you. Spent the day chilling x

  31. Moxie February 28, 2012 at 15:03 #

Katie and Rosie are the biggest stand outs for me. Had to vote for Katie.

Thanks for the great coverage, FC. Now get some sleep!

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 17:55 #

      Thanks…will do x

  32. Seth February 28, 2012 at 15:35 #

WOW, the pop of colour that is Cameron Diaz is amazing! My vote goes there for the colour and the minimality.

  33. manja February 28, 2012 at 15:57 #

Just want to thank you for fantastic job you are doing. You are the best there is.

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 17:53 #

      Thank u x

  34. Hannah February 28, 2012 at 17:17 #

I voted for Kate, because I think she looked great and even better in the bigger photo. Just the fact that she stands up to all the gowns whilst she’s in a mini says enough for me.
I also liked Emma, Katie, and definitely Diane.

    • Hannah February 28, 2012 at 17:19 #

I liked Kate Beckinsale as well, but not as much.

  35. Nat39 February 28, 2012 at 17:51 #

Flawless, a warm breath of fresh air, Olga Kurylenko gets my vote. Katie, Emma, Kate and Rosie follow in no particular order.

  36. Loulou February 28, 2012 at 18:18 #

Hmm can’t decide between Katie and Olga though there really are some great looks I also really like Claire and Kate.

  37. Ana February 28, 2012 at 18:25 #

My favorite is Paz Vega. Thanks for your coverage, excellent as always!! Have a nice rest! 😉

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 18:59 #

      Glad you enjoyed. X

  38. anne g February 28, 2012 at 18:36 #

Dita Von Tesse for me , she remind me 40’s actress

  39. fromchi-town February 28, 2012 at 18:53 #

I chose Emma Stone. It was a very tough choice. Thanks much FC, as usual your coverage was superb!! Not only the oscars but the whole awards season.

    • Fashion Critic February 28, 2012 at 19:00 #

Thanks. So who was your favourite?

      • fromchi-town February 29, 2012 at 14:30 #

My favs for this poll were Emma Stone, Cameron Diaz and Olga. I voted for Emma. But this was a much better red carpet than the actual Awards !!

  40. Kyriaki-Cyprus February 28, 2012 at 19:03 #

I went for the most colourful and voted Cameron Diaz in Victoria Beckham because I missed colourful gowns at the oscars!

  41. Dhppy February 28, 2012 at 19:23 #

I originally voted for Dita, but since you’ve added Bosworth, I had to change my vote.

  42. dee February 28, 2012 at 20:22 #

    Love Emma.

  43. Prabal Gurung Fan Club February 28, 2012 at 23:25 #

Thanks for adding Ms. Bosworth in Prabal Gurung. I thinks she looked absolutely stunning in that dress :)

  44. Rosalie February 29, 2012 at 00:22 #

couldve sworn venus was in this poll

  45. DivaDebbi (Beauty and Fashion Blog) February 29, 2012 at 01:38 #

. On vacay so I’ve missed much. This is more like it! Save for Gwyneth and Natalie I was hugely disappointed. Loving Katie, Emma and Lilly. So much more energy and confidence here.

    FC. You continue to astound!

    • Fashion Critic February 29, 2012 at 10:17 #

      thank you very much x

  46. Lani Lye February 29, 2012 at 02:09 #

Nina Dobrev would be my best dresses of the night! She looked amazing!!

    • burcu antmen March 2, 2012 at 14:10 #

I definitely agree with you.Katie and Nina my favorites

  47. Lani Lye February 29, 2012 at 02:10 #

  48. Iris February 29, 2012 at 09:12 #

I actually voted for Venus :) because I didn’t think she’d have a similar shot at glory anytime soon :) Since she’s out in the new poll (quite rightly so), I went with Elizabeth Banks.

  49. Kaz February 29, 2012 at 10:27 #

I voted for J.Lo. The dress is amazing and she looks phenomenal.

How spoilt we are, FC, with your wonderful website!

I will join the two choruses – for the party fashion being better than the Oscars red carpet, and for your amazing hard work and coverage throughout xx

    • Fashion Critic February 29, 2012 at 11:33 #

you are so very kind…thank you.

  50. love February 29, 2012 at 19:37 #

these people look great! But I couldn’t help but notice that in all the coverage of the vanity fair after party she left out Paula patton. Lol I guess.it was all that awkward posing and lack luster dress I guess fc has had enough. Lol!!

    • Fashion Critic February 29, 2012 at 20:06 #

I just can’t deal with Paula at the moment, she infuriates me

      • love March 1, 2012 at 04:51 #

lol i feel the same way! so much potential and nearly every time she falls flat :(

  51. Carolina Roq February 29, 2012 at 20:45 #

    Katy Perry

  52. Tom Kolovos March 1, 2012 at 13:05 #

Jennifer looked AMAZING in this dress as opposed to sleazy in the one on the Oscars.

And Lily Colins is a DREAM in that Monique dress.

  53. Parvati March 1, 2012 at 18:34 #

I voted for Emma Stone in Chanel Couture.

  54. AP March 2, 2012 at 01:44 #

For me it was a though decision between Diane Kruger (in Calvin Klein) and Emma Stone (in Chanel). They both look amazing, but I had to choose Ms. Kruger.

  55. burcu antmen March 2, 2012 at 14:09 #

Nina Dobrev should have been in this list as she shows sthg black but different to us!!!
