Salma Hayek lit up the red carpet wearing a red hot gown to the 2012 Vanity Fair Oscar party hosted by Graydon Carter at Sunset Tower in California last night.
She looked outstanding wearing a YSL Edition Soir 2012 gown.
Her red silk mousseline gown was teamed with YSL ‘Divine’ sandals and a black minaudiere with gold embroideries.
Once again I have to remind Salma that this is the standard of red carpet dressing she should keep to.

She has the girls covered and the color is beautiful on her but damn that braid!
Love it! I’m glad that she’s not revealing too much or looking too matronly–instead, she looks classy and beautiful The color and style are fabulous for her! The hair is so-so but it can be overlooked.
I agree with your comment.
like you said, OUTSTANDING. love the braided hairstyle. and the color looks so fresh and awesome on her.
Va ba vroom !! We all know she had this in her. Which is why we never give up on her. She looks outstanding without being over the top.
She looks amazing, love her in this beautiful gown.
Usually I’m not crazy with the braided hair look, but here I think it works perfectly with the gown. And I normally wouldn’t like this kind of gown (with the gathered neckline, peasant blouse look, the tiered skirt) but this I love, and i also love the shoulder detail. She looks very pretty in this….
Salma is finally back!
She looks better than the Goya Awards. I love the hair, really worked for the dress.
gorgeus!
she looks very pretty.
She looks beautiful and youthful even. This dress is lovely and dramatic, and all the styling touches are perfect.
love it..
Now this is more like it!
She looks really nice but it feels a tad costumey to me because of the braid. I really don’t think she needed that fake dried out looking thing.
I had completely lost faith in Ms. Hayek but this look is redemption!! She looks like a fairy tale princess. I hope she stays on track going forward!
I adore this, with or without the braid.
Hopefully she’s reading this and will listen to you FC – Too bad she didn’t walk the red carpet at the ceremony with that dress
I don’t know… The gown with the hair just looks a little too prairie girl for me.
Not a fan–don’t like the gathered bodice or the braid–why braid hair as gorgeous as hers. I thought she looked so much better at the Goya awards.
I adore this!
So beautiful!! This is a really great colour for her and this is how braids should be done!
