Kate Hudson joined in the fun on Oscar night by attending the 2012 Vanity Fair Party in West Hollywood, California.
She looked amazing wearing a fiery red vintage Versace beaded gown with a fringed skirt.
The only think I wasn’t crazy about was the illusion neckline. I wish it wasn’t so obvious in the close up.
Kate complemented her gown with diamond stud earrings, diamond bracelets, and nude Christian Louboutin ‘Lady Peep’ pumps.
She finished her look with gorgeous wavy blonde locks and flawless makeup.
As always, she is glowing.

Nice dress, but not loving the illusion neckline… if it was red I would have loved it, but I’m not a fan of the skin colour mesh!
The illusion neckline ruins it.
Agreed. Mesh is never a good thing, especially vintage.
It looks to me like the top of this dress would look best on someone who filled it out a little more. Since she has such a small chest it just looks like the cups sit awkwardly. Since she’s not so busty she can get away with so much more than others, so it baffles me why she would choose something like this with the cheap-looking illusion netting to boot.
It’s a vintage dress, so my assumption is that the technique is not as perfected as it is now.
This is a stunning gown but I have to agree it would have been much nicer without that yellowish neckline but I can see why it would have been needed with that deep back. Perhaps they should rethink what “nude” actually means. Other than that it is a striking gown!
didn’t someone else wear this dress in black relatively recently?
It looks ill-fitted and the illusion is unpleasant. Not one of my favorites.
I really want to love this but it’s not really happening. Kate as always looks glowing and beautiful with fantastic hair and makeup but the dress let’s her down
it is quite ill-fitting, there is no shape definition and the illusion neckline is terrible. I love Kate but I do not love this dress I’m afraid.
just okay for a family fancy wedding
I think this could’ve been a great look if the fit was better. The dress is pretty and the illusion neckline doesn’t bother me much; plus hair and makeup look flawless. I’ll give her a pass.
The neckline ruins it it’s true – I find that she looks more and more like her mother
It’s funny how she always look this fantastic on the red carpet, she’s with the best of the night!
very good!
If I am not mistaken, Sharon Stone wore this dress in black at the Oscars as well; exactly 10 years ago…
The illusion neckline is odd, not a fan of that. But I do like the dress overall, it looks beautiful on Kate.
She’s glowing!
