Kate Beckinsale totally got the memo regarding a relaxed dress code for the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards, held in Santa Monica, California yesterday evening.
She managed to get the summery vibe right despite wearing a Fall 2012 look by Diane von Furstenberg.
Her berry one-shoulder jumpsuit with a draped detail falling from the shoulder and a knotted detail on the hip was paired with Christian Louboutin peep-toes – that’s three peep-toes in a row (major for Kate) – Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and a Gucci clutch.
Kate’s loose wavy hair and pink glossy lips completed the look.

Perfect! It’s also a new style for Kate. She apparently has some issues with her lower body, especially legs, so she should totally wear more pantsuits and jumpsuits. She has a small waist and flat abs. She also has one of the best faces, as far as size and features go. She should choose outfits that draw attention to her face and upper body.
I’m the only one to say this, but I don’t like it. If it were a dress, I would have loved it, but I REALLY dislike the jumpsuit trend!
