Cameron Diaz In Elie Saab – Vanity Fair And Ermenegildo Zegna Dinner

Cameron Diaz was in Hollywood on Wednesday evening, where she attended the Vanity Fair and Ermenegildo Zenga dinner hosted by Colin Firth in support of Oxfam America.

The actress wore a black Elie Saab Fall 2010 black cap sleeve cocktail dress with lace details and contrast seaming.

Cammy sporting a side-parted style with her recently cropped ‘do, that swooped over one eye.

Black pumps and a matching clutch finish the look.

Do you find this ensemble to be too serious for Cameron’s sunny personality or are you loving this mature approach?

She already 40-ies. So, i prefer this style on her.

    • Linda February 24, 2012 at 14:43 #

      I agree with you, bm.

    • Emi February 24, 2012 at 16:55 #

I agree with you. I really like this outfit.

    • EmmaWoodhouse February 24, 2012 at 19:05 #

Yes, it is a good look for her.

Someone has been experimenting with plastic surgery/ botox/cheek implants!

The dress is age-appropriate. It looks good on her.

  3. D February 24, 2012 at 14:49 #

doesnt even feel like ES on her :(

  4. AW February 24, 2012 at 14:51 #

Oh sweet baby Jesus, please bring back Cameron Diaz before she suddenly had crazy face and overly bleached hair.

While I appreciate that this look is demure i’m not into funeral chic right now.

    • Caro February 24, 2012 at 19:32 #

      +1 Cannot agree more

  5. Leela February 24, 2012 at 14:54 #

Oh no what happened to her face???!! I don’t know if it’s just an unflattering photo but she looks older

    • mm February 24, 2012 at 18:04 #

exactly. the make up or lack of it not helpin

    • Snowlion February 25, 2012 at 01:18 #

She is older…she just looks tired, the forced smile/grimace doesn’t help!

    • Laura Brice February 25, 2012 at 04:08 #

Ditto! what is going on with cameron’s face?

  6. Nat February 24, 2012 at 14:57 #

The dress is nice enough: well-done, flattering, beautiful details. Classic Elie.
However, it doesn’t manage to distract my attention from her face…I mean, why why why has she done that to herself? :-(

  7. The Dame February 24, 2012 at 14:58 #

LOVE the gorgeous dress but damn my girl looks haggard :(
Her nose has changed again and now she just looks so different and she looks really tired here.
Ive been one of her biggest fans since my teens, my cupboard doors were wallpapered in pictures of her back in the day.
I hope she is just tired here and she isnt going downhill, its not like her.
Hope everything is ok with her.

  8. dee February 24, 2012 at 15:02 #

The dress looks great but the hair and makeup are not working. Her face looks odd.

  9. Rebecca Z February 24, 2012 at 15:14 #

    Not loving this.

  10. mattison February 24, 2012 at 15:17 #

Know how there was the open letter to Paula Patton, RE: her stylist hating her? It might just be time for Cam to get one, ’cause the past few times I’ve seen her, it appears her makeup artist is trying to make her look like a cadaver. It’s a shame, considering how great her body looks and how youthful her haircut is.

  11. bee7 February 24, 2012 at 15:45 #

i love this haircut on her. the dress is average- not ugly but i’m not impressed either.

  12. robbie February 24, 2012 at 16:54 #

    WHAT. A. MESS.

    • Alina February 24, 2012 at 17:27 #

Ditto. Her face doesn’t look well and her hair is too blonde. The dress is beautiful, but she adds nothing to it.

  13. Lee ann February 24, 2012 at 18:40 #

    God she looks rough

  14. Dhppy February 24, 2012 at 18:42 #

The dress is fine but how did she make Elie Saab seem like mid 2000s Temperley?

  15. Giuseppi Giraffe February 24, 2012 at 19:53 #

oh wow- the hair is very aging, depressingly aging, but the dress is good

  16. marina February 24, 2012 at 20:23 #

I like her in this dress. I prefer her change of style, but she has so pretty legs that it is a shame to cover them.
Much better this Elie Saab dress than the one Aniston wore, speaking of “new phases”

  17. justme February 24, 2012 at 20:34 #

Everything works for me from the neck down. It’s upwards that the tragedy is happening.
She brought her “There’s something about Mary” haircut back and I’m not sure she should have.

  18. dan February 24, 2012 at 22:57 #

really really cant get on board with that bloody hair cut

  19. SandTony February 24, 2012 at 22:58 #

What the hell has she done to her face?!

  20. Rory February 25, 2012 at 00:38 #

    her face!?

  21. Tina February 25, 2012 at 01:02 #

Dresss is alright but my, she hasn’t aged terribly well. And the hair and makeup isnt happen either.

  22. hally February 25, 2012 at 05:03 #

oh goodness she looks rough! who can look at the dress? her face looks so, used, or beat, or whatever you want to call it. the bleached hair is not helping her at all!!! oh Cam, take a break til your face recovers!

    • Kaitlin February 25, 2012 at 07:54 #

Yeah, the first thing I noticed was her face. The dress isn’t amazing, but it looks nice on her.

  23. Sarah February 25, 2012 at 10:43 #

    She looks like she’s 50+ here :/

    • Lee February 25, 2012 at 14:01 #

      +1

  24. kiwi February 25, 2012 at 12:44 #

her face looks so haggard, some eyeliner may have helped and the hair just looks fried

  25. Giada February 26, 2012 at 03:36 #

I really like the dress, but I think it just needs a little bit more jewelry. Some simple earrings would have added some chic. Not to be rude, but her face has been like this for a long time. Just look it up on the Daily Mail. This is what happens when you overexercise and don’t eat any carbs and fats; you lose the voluminizing effects of the fat in the face that we subconsciously associate with youth. Angelina Jolie, Kelly Ripa, Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna also have it, but the last two get some “help” from Dr. Brandt.
