Roksanda Ilincic’s Fall 2012 presentation was set in a number of small, elegant drawing rooms to create a very intimate setting for her presentation.

The clothes were elegant and classic, with unexpected modern touches like hoodies and slouchy cashmere pants.

Silhouettes were long and lean, with fur draped over the shoulder or embellishments adding a touch of sparkle for evening wear.

On a colour palette of rich burgundy, vibrant blues, purple, white, grey and black, the collection was mostly made up of combining colours either as separates or colour-blocking.

With the celebrity clientele including everyone from the First Lady to Lady Gaga, I’m sure we will see this collection worn many times on the red carpet.

Key accessories included yellow and pink Nicholas Kirkwood ankle-strap pumps and slouchy bucket bags.
