Despite being launched in 2006, this was McQ’s first runway show for Fall 2012 which was held during London Fashion Week on Monday evening.
McQueen’s baby sister had a total revamp for Fall. You could say she’s grown up, as the design team was recently brought in-house under the helm of McQueen’s creative director, Sarah Burton. And it showed.
The sporty street wear and cutesy mini dress we’ve seen on Emma Watson were nowhere to be seen.
With the runway covered in fallen leaves, models stormed – and I mean stormed – the runway wearing military coats with oversized pocket flaps in the highly dramatic show.
We also saw tartan dresses with gothic black-lace sleeves, rich blood-velvet mini dresses with embroidered details, coats worn with leather belts, knit dresses, leather coats with furry sleeves, strapless tulle dresses and coats with velvet leaf-print overlay, and a surprising twist came via the colour tu-tu dresses which stood out against the mostly military-green, blood-red and black colour palette.

Kristen McMenamy closed the show wearing a white tulle gown with leaves embroidered all over it.
During the dramatic finale the room fell dark with a spotlight focus on the model. She looked to the heavens as leaves fell on top of her.

Kristin Stewart will definitely have her hands on this collection too.
beautiful collection. looks 15, 17, 33, 34 and 35 are divine, and the coat in look 18 makes my heart skip a beat.
The hair is crazy but I love a lot of the looks–that final dress is gorgeous. Keira Knightley should wear it!
also the coat anna is wearing looks gorgeous.
Oh wow.
This show was a pleasure to watch.
I loved this collection.
What a fabulous collection. I could also see Evan Rachel Wood wearing this.
There are a lot of 50s silhouettes that Dita Von Teese could make sing in this collection.
This was the most dramatic show I’ve ever been to! And my first real life sighting of Salma!
