Peter Pan collars are having quite a moment on the red carpet.
Amanda Peet joined the growing list of actresses to rock the trend at the 2012 Writers Guild Awards held in LA on Sunday evening.
The actress wore a white chiffon Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2012 gown with a contrasting black-and-silver embellished collar.
If Michelle Williams had shown up to an event in this dress, we would all be rolling our eyes, but Amanda makes the look all her own.
Smoky eyes and a sleek ponytail complete the ensemble.

Old lady garb. Amanda is far too sexy to be covering up like this.
Yes, I agree. She often makes bizarre choices like this.
I agree too.
+2
For once she looks good.
I think she’s owning it! It’s an unusual dress but she’s having fun with it.
I want to like this look but it would need some alterations 1. shortened to calf length 2. fitted higher and tighter at the natural waist 3. more interesting hair and makeup
Better than her usual choices, but still quite meh
She’s so gorgeous. This is BDOTW-worthy IMO.
She is totally making it work for her with the smoky eyes, sleek ponytail and flirty presence managing to look youthful while it could’ve easily ended up looking drab and matronly on someone like Michelle Williams.
I love it. FInally she looks good. She´s so gorgeous but tends to make strange choices just like Jessica Biel.. I would however love to see a brighter lip colour
Yay! I always feel good for those women who are known to struggle with their red carpet choices when they turn it around and make a solid choice. Who doesn’t love an underdog story? Though, conceptually I understand why the solid material of the dress is a bit shorter than the sheer overlay, I still wish they were the same length. Either way, she’s killing it! It’s about time, she’s a beautiful woman and finally she’s found a dress to enhance her.
Nonsense. She looks lovely and the dress is sheer beauty and classy, I like it.
