Blanca Suarez joined Salma Hayek on the red carpet for the 2012 Goya Cinema Awards in Madrid on Sunday night.
The star of ‘The Skin I Live In’ stunned in a champagne-coloured Blumarine Spring 2012 tulle gown with golden iridescent sequin embellishments.
At first glance, I was positive that this was the same Monique Lhuillier Spring 2011 gown worn by Mandy Moore at the 2011 Oscar.
Upon closer inspection, you can notice a difference in the sequins, but the resemblance is still uncanny.
The iridescent quality in Blanca’s gown gives the dress a bit more depth.
Upswept hair and smoky eyes complete the look.

Meh. Doesn’t move me on any level (and wasn’t crazy about Mandy’s version either).
+1
She was my very favourite of the night alongside Michelle Jenner. What a pair of beauties!
I know, me too! This is gorgeous and I prefer it to Mandy’s look! I’m dying of perfection
I am Spanish and I love it so famous websites like yours write about the Spanish Goya film awards. Blanca was beautiful
Cheap.
BDOTW! She is very beautiful
the sequins remind me of fish scales so i cant say i love the dress. her make up was flawless though
The first thing I thought of was Mandy’s dress, it’s very similar I love Mandy’s but I didn’t like Blanca’s at all.
A cheap remake.
+1 it’s got nothing on mandy’s
+2, tacky and cheap.
+2. The Monique Lhullier was miles better.
Please comment more looks from the Goya awards!! Some of the actresses were so beautifull i loved Goya Toledo, michelle Jenner, Clara Lago and the beautifull Lanvin of Elena Anaya who’s the protagonist of ” The skin I live in” and Maria Valverde in Dior.
I am trying, but you have revealed all the dresses, so I’m just going to do a few more.
Not only do we like the fashion IDs, but we LOOOVE to know your opinion about the appearances.
IMO, Blanca looks beautiful in this dress (which is much better than the Monique Lhuillier). Her makeup is also stunning.
I preferred Mandy who looked very much ethereal while Blanca looks “jaundice-affected”.
I was wondering why we rarely see a-listers wearing Blumarine to red carpet events. A quick perusal of your site shows that their collections have changed so much over the last 3 years. Perhaps celebrities/stylists don’t know what to expect from them and just stay clear.
Love it!
