My New York Fashion Week Highs & Lows

HIGHS

Top 5 Shows: Prabal Gurung, Oscar de la Renta, The Blonds, Victoria Beckham and Diane von Furstenberg

Best Production: Donna Karan & The Blonds

David Beckham: Seeing David Beckham holding Harper as they walked into the venue for Victoria Beckham’s fashion show. I made the right decision to arrive super early.

Seeing David Beckham in the flesh for the second time in two months.

Anna Wintour: Seeing a guy with a silver plate handing Anna Wintour her Starbucks at Victoria Beckham.

Seeing a British socialite curtsey when greeting Anna Wintour at Prabal Gurung.

LOL Moment: A dude offered me and @seoulcialite cocaine after The Blonds show. We busted out laughing – in his face. He kept chanting “Co, co, co, co…”. We were like, “Chanel?”

A-Listers In The Front Row: Michael Kors’ is the one show you are guaranteed an A-list-packed front row, so I was shocked to see Matt Damon front row at Naeem Khan. Despite looking as bored as hell, it was a nice treat for his wife on Valentine’s Day. Let’s hope she was shopping for a dress for the Oscars.

Fashion Foie Gras for Coach Bag: Emily from Fashion Foie Gras gifted me her self-designed ‘Blogger Bag’ which I toted around Fashion Week. The bag was very popular as I got papped a few times carrying it in one day by WWD and Huffington Post. I was very excited to help support my friend and fellow blogger in this way.

Marchesa: After being devastated not to receive an invitation to Marchesa’s Spring 2012 presentation, I was seated behind the celebs for Fall 2012.

LOWS

Karlie Kloss: The absence of Karlie Kloss on the runway was very evident. No one sparkles on the runway like she does. Apparently she’s working on a new project that may see her on the big screen. The good news is that she should be back on the runway for Milan.

Missing Blake Lively: Due to scheduling, I was unable to attend the Noon by Noor presentation. I was disappointed to see my girl Blake had attended later in the day.

No More Drama: People tried to fuel drama between Brad Goreski and Rachel Zoe. There was no drama, no confrontation; they were both getting on with their lives and jobs. Why are people willing this to happen so badly?

David Beckham Photo: After my Twitter followers begged me to take a picture of Becks at VB’s show, this is the best I could do.

The Ego Has Landed: Anna Dello Russo didn’t hit New York until the Marc Jacobs show on Monday. On Tuesday she arrived really late to the Diesel show. Not content with standing at the back with all the others who arrived late, she elbowed her way to the front to try to claim her seat. However, the seat had been taken, so she was forced to crouch down near the front row.

Late Night TV Shows: I love late night telly in the US, but I was too exhausted to watch my faves, Letterman, Conan and Jay Leno. I think I only turned the TV on once to watch the Grammy’s.
