Naeem Khan Fall 2012

Inspired by Mughal Paisley and Hindu Tilakas, Naeem Khan’s Fall 2012 presented many gowns which must be Oscar bound.

Models sparkled from head to toe wearing gold and silver ethnic embroidered gowns and gowns with bead work which looked heavy.

On the flip side, the designer presented a selection of organza abstract print gowns and dresses which were lighter than air as they floated down the runway.

Necklines plunged, thighs were revealed via splits and backs were open for those who wanted to show off more skin.

For those who don’t, luxe embroidered evening coats or sparkling caftans will enable you to make a statement just as bold without showing off too much skin.

Tweed metallic jackets, beaded gowns with fringe detailing, gowns with feathered skirts and studded pants which were to die for made up this eye-popping collection which sparkled so brightly against the black backdrop.

Front Row: Padma Lakshmi, Ahna O’Reilly, Kristin Chenoweth, Matt Damon and wife Lucy Damon

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Gwyneth Paltrow, Michelle Obama, Rachel Roy, Padma Lakshmi, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jennifer Carpenter, Carrie Underwood, Emily Blunt, Debra Messing, Viola Davis and Florence Welch

Absolutely beautiful! Not my personal style, but gorgeously, dreamily elegant (which sad to say I am not and never will be…)

The most stunning collection I’ve ever seen. Every single piece is so beautiful and stands out from the crowd. I can’t wait to see one or more at the Oscars!

It was drop dead gorgeous, nary a clunker in the bunch, the only deterrent was the ear splitting music, mixed badly. Love Naeem!

I love his super-embellished, super-luxe aesthetic! The Emily Blunt dress and the gold one (top, fourth from left) are my favorites! 🙂
