Diane Kruger continued her fashionable tour of the 62nd Berlinale Film Festival on Friday night, attending the ‘Festival Night’ party hosted by Bunte and BMW.
The German actress chose this Alessandra Rich Spring 2012 look with contrasting separates for the occasion, pairing a silver stripe lurex marinière top with silk polka dot skirt.
I always appreciate contrasting prints when they’re worn correctly, but I’m on the fence about this look.
Perhaps if the skirt were a bit shorter I would have loved it.
A Judith Leiber ‘Jaguar’ clutch and hot-pink Miu Miu sandals completed her the look.

I, like you, am thrown by the length of the skirt, it’s doing nothing for her. I’d love it if it were a pencil skirt that hit her just below the knees because at the moment her torso looks really long and her legs kind of squat.
I love everything about this look, I just don’t like it on her. I feel like it would look best on someone a bit taller. However, I do think a shorter skirt would help.
Doesn’t work for me either. The skirt is too long and the top is too square and doesn’t seem to fit.
Not my favorite DK look by a longshot, but love her radiant hair and makeup. God she is pretty.
wow first time I dont like something Diane is wearing.
The length and the shape of the skirt are unflattering even for a gorgeous woman like her. This woman must have the best make up artist and the best hairstylist of the showbusiness!
looks better on her than it does on the model!!
I like it.
I like it but wish skirt was shorter
Fashion fail.
Are you kissing?!?!?! I LOVE this look!!!!
Diane, you need to stop doing this! You are Diane Kruger! No style-ruts allowed!
I like this look from the waist up. The top is OK and her hair is very cute, but the skirt is awful, in my opinion. I generally don’t like polka dots, the length of the skirt is just wrong and the pink shoes don’t help this look, either.
I like the runway version much better and I’m thinking it’s because of the size of the model. Ms. Kruger has an enviable figure, but perhaps this design was meant for one of the stick-thin celebrities.
