Diane von Furstenberg’s Fall 2012 show was titled ‘Rendezvous’ so she seduced us with second-skin body-conscious dresses, exposed shoulders, plunging necklines and thigh-high splits.
Even Diane’s signature wrap dresses were given a sexier refresh.
This presentation did have a collection of beautiful, whimsical prints of hands, quotation marks and chain-links, but overall there were noticeably less prints compared to previous seasons.
Instead we saw more colour-block looks and vibrant colours, including lime green, fuchsia, and cyan alongside moody maroons, rich reds and blacks.
Draped asymmetrical jumpsuits, office-appropriate separates, oversized coats, blouses, sheath dresses, pant suits and wrap skirts made up the majority of this presentation.
For the red carpet, the glamorous designer presented many beautiful looks starting with a red kimono halter dress, a fully sequined black halter gown, an aqua strapless dress with a thigh-high split, and a roseberry draped gown.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable presentation bursting with colour and looks for every type of woman for every event in her life.
Key accessories included box clutches, printed satchels, oversized clutches, leather opera gloves and ankle-strap pumps.
Front Row: Molly Sims, Solange Knowles, Barbara Walters, Eugenia Silva and Oscar de la Renta

It’s a grogeous collection, the draped wine coloured gown, and the aqua blue is gorgeous. I have a serious soft spot for bright blues (aqua, kingfisher, turquoise etc etc) so that is jsut divine, hopefully it will be done justice to.
I also have ot applaud the wide, and still appropriate, range of colours she always displays for fall. So refreshing.
wow… just… wow.
One of my favorite collections so far! Thank you for this coverage FC – so awesome that you got to see this in person! LOVE <3
thank you. I’m having an amazing time
The quotation marks look like sperm. Aside from that little glitch it’s a great collection.
It’s too neon for me. I like the wine-draped dress and the choice for Claire Danes but other than that I’m not really sold.
Oh wow. The first look, the lime green and black outfit, is so so cool!
I really hope Diane Kruger gets her hands on this collection. I can see her in these oversized coats already!
I LOOVE this collection!
