Florence Welch also attended the 2012 Style Awards held in London this evening.
The singer wore a fitted Erdem Spring 2012 dress with three-quarter-length sleeves and a shirt-like collar in a muted blue floral print.
The dress was paired with matching ankle-strap heels by Nicholas Kirkwood.
This fitted look for the singer is a refreshing change as we’re used to seeing her mostly in flowing garments.
The granny-chic print is very Florence and very appropriate for the UK event.
Shiny red locks and collections of rings complete the look.
Granny-chic or Grannish?

I can never get past her hair. She looks uncomfortable. But, it’s a much more refreshing, light look than I’ve seen from her.
It falls a bit flat – With an updo and bold lip I would have been loving it!
Would have been gorgeous if it weren’t buttoned up to her chin.
Fashion-wise, I’m missing her long bright red hair.
Presence-wise, she looks tired and lifeless. Too bad, this dress and shoes look would great on her, but…
eh…it doesn’t seem very ‘her’ and she looks like she just woke up
Granny-ish because of that boring hair. Love the dress and it could have been really cute. All the other comments about her attitude are right on too.
There is just too much material. I am really bored with designers passing off interesting material design for bad construction. Eg see Mary k earlier post
I like the dress, but something about her hair and makeup (or lack thereof) brings the look down.
I’m glad someone wore the runway shoes. Her while the hair is still not great isn’t as greasy and limp as it has been but a pop bold colour on the lips is really missing here.
I think she should try the fitted look again as this dress is lovely.
My gran would never appear out in public with such bedraggled hair. Never.
I think the hair lets this look down. I love the look on the runway, it is so cute and I enjoy seeing Florence in a different style but with the high collar I think she should have carried the different style through to the hair with a ponytail or something similar. I really loved the vibrant red colour she used to have in her hair and wish it would come back.
It looks Granish…..maybe if she styled her hair up or did something else with it, the outfit wont have looked so outdated on her…cos on the model it looks nice.
The hair ruins everything.
I dont think silver is her color, necessarily. I hate to say this but she looks haggard here.
Cute enough dress. Nothing else is cute here.
I really like this look – with regards to the hair and makeup, I think this is just a bad photo, other photos she looks much more fresh faced
