After hitting up the Jason Wu and Honor Fall 2012 shows during New York Fashion Week, Alexa Chung returned home to host the 2012 Elle Style Awards this evening.
I don’t want to say it, but I love her in this Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2012 suit.
With menswear the inspiration for many designers this Fashion Week, Alexa is already up on the trend.
I’m so glad she decided to restyle this grey check suit with a white shirt as the orange doesn’t really work for me.
I love the jacquard panel on the hem of her cropped pants; this is an interest twist on a classic suit.
The best thing about this look is that Alexa has finally taken onboard the three pieces of advice we are constantly dishing out to her: shampoo, brush and a ladylike pair of heels.
Bravo Miss Chung.

She hardly looks the same person with good hair and makeup! Indeed a rare win for Alexa.
hmmmm.. I don’t LOVE the pants, but the overall look is quite cute!!
For sure! Wow. Clean hair. Nice eye makeup… really cute outfit. Brava indeed!
Omg! Who’s that girl? Love it!!
i asked myself the same thing. what an unexpected surprise!!
I love when she wears a suit, like when she wore that beautiful tux/suit to the met ball…. so refreshing and understated beauty! http://cdn.buzznet.com/media-cdn/jj1/headlines/2010/05/alexa-chung-met-ball-2010.jpg
The magic of a hair and mascara brush. I really like sombre palette with the feminine touches. I’m hoping she’s realised that if she’s going to present a fashion show she should look as if she knows what she’s talking about.
She looks good in suits since she’s quite androgynous.
Im going to go ahead and say this is the best she has ever looked.
I do’t usually like meanswear, but I like this look. Love those pant, very unique. I like her hair and makeup. But I like a more open shirt under suits.
This is the best she has ever look, but I still let out a little sigh whenever I see her.
Who knew she could look so pretty. I like the pants–I think the jacket is a little long for her so she looks a tad stiff, but maybe it’s because she isn’t used to heels that high. Anyway, I agree a very good look for her.
Bravo indeed – I think this is the best I’ve ever seen on Alexa, love the detail on the pant legs.
Love this look. BDOTW nominee, and that’s saying something. I’m loving her hair here!
I must say that she looks very cute, beautiful make up, clean and brushed hair… But I don’t like what she wears. The pants are beautiful but I don’t like the fit of jacket and I really dislike jackets with male white shirts.
Sad to say she looks cool. Hope this means we should look forward to seeing her more put together.
It’s OK, but I don’t think I’ll ever like anything she wears a 100% because of her horrible manners…
Don’t like the hem detail I feel it shortens her and I’d prefer a more fitted jacket, but I guess it would have lost it’s menswear feel…
OMG… I love it!
Meh…the hair is a slight improvement, but I still don’t think the style works for her. I don’t like the suit either, particularly the jacquard detail on the pants. It feels too contrived.
Same as it ever was, same as it ever was, same as it ever.was.
