Viola Davis opted for her favourite colour on the red carpet at the 2012 BAFTA Awards in London tonight: pink.
She looked beautiful wearing a custom Valentino one-shoulder gown which gathers at the hip and has a daring thigh-high split.
Via the split we can see her Jimmy Choo sandals which she has worn a few times during awards season.
I’m not crazy about her hair on this occasion, but she does look stunning nonetheless.
Diamond-drop earrings and a matching bracelet completed her look.

The material of the dress is eco fabric made by recycled plastic bottles
I really don’t like this replica of Sarah Jessica Parker’s dress at the premiere of Sex and the City 2 in New York – The fabric here looks heavy and cheap whee the other was floaty and flirty – Her hair is indeed not good
I love the color of the gown and the fit is great–but why do all of her wigs look like they’re about to fly off her head?! She needs a hair stylist. STAT.
Her continued wearing of these bad wigs after “coming out” gorgeous with her natural hair in that LA Times layout just makes them look all the worse.
I hate the fabric. It looks so cheap which is sad because the style is beautiful. It is really cool that it is an eco friendly dress.
I dont care for her hair either.
She looks gorgeous, love the dress. But the makeup is too dark for my liking.
I was actualy excited for her, she has been consistently strong, but this is a hideous, hideous look. I hate the amkeup, the hair and especially the dress, the fabric is terrible, the colour terrible, teh sheen terrible. Hideous.
She’s beautiful…But I want her to rock the hair she had on in her photoshoot
Her bronze skin is so gorgeous that I didn’t pay any attention to her dress…
I like the sort of ombre-shimmering color, but the silhouette (especially the slit), the texture, and her hair look kind of prommy
It kinda reminisce me of the Jennifer Aniston black Valentino gown at The Golden Globe couple years ago.
I really wished she had opted to wear her natural hair with this dress. that wig is stealing all of her thunder!
Love it, she was the best dressed for me
eurgh, she was robbed. I hope she gets the Oscar.
Agree.
I hate her hair here.
feel like i’ve seen this before…
I HOPE she ditches the bad wigs and wears her natural hair for the Oscars. I will be sorely disappointed if she doesn’t. gorgeous woman.
Apparently the dress is made out of recycled plastic bottles.
She seems to wear the same pink dress, she needs to change colors up a little
The color of her skin is way too bronzy and the dress just brings this out. Lay off the bronzer girl.
This is a really nice look. I love that she opts for bold colours!
She looks gorgeous but I am in too minds about the dress. I love the design and I love that it is an eco-friendly dress but the fabric doesn’t look great from the side gather down the skirt.
The dress is stunning but the hair looks like a wig and the eye-brows are too thin, in my opinion
