Amy Smilovic served up an unexpected, understated menswear-inspired collection for Tibi’s Fall 2012 presentation during New York Fashion Week yesterday evening.
I was expecting girlie tea-length dresses but instead I saw cropped pants, oversized outerwear, menswear-inspired blouses, slouchy knits, boxy wax jackets and double-breasted jackets.
It wasn’t all menswear inspired. We did see some A-line dresses, sleeveless peplum blouses, floaty skirts and chiffon flowy tops.
The pieces which stood out were the shimmering blue-and-green looks plus the pretty bird prints.
Models wore comfortable men’s shoes in black and white, their hair was styled into a low messy ponytail, their faces were kept natural and their nails were painted white.
What I love about this collection is that it is easy, chic and very wearable.

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Olivia Palermo, Shailene Woodley, Emma Roberts, Whitney Port, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Carey Mulligan and Liv Tyler

Ugly and dated imo. That shiny green ensemble is particularly bad.
The first look you’ve posted for Diane Kruger.
