I’m not quite sure how Max Azria does it, but every season he does the impossible by reinventing the bandage dress.
For Fall 2012 the designer portrayed feminine strength through equestrian-inspired harnesses.
Harness wide belts, body harnesses, leather stamped python long-sleeve harness shrugs and harness hip belts were paired with the bandage dresses which came in many forms.
Fringed, beaded, diamond print, pleated, jacquard and gowns with chiffon skirts were accessorized with leather boots, cuffs, wristlet clutches, box clutches and stand out animal print clutches.
Front Row: Kristin Chenoweth, Camilla Alves, Nina Dobrev, Tinsley Mortimer, Coco Rocha, Harley Viera Newton and Leigh Lezark
Who I See Wearing This Collection: All of the above, plus many other starlets

Not the biggest fan of the collection (too reminiscent of Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 with the harnesses and the fur accents for my liking) but your close-up photos are brilliant. Looks like you got a front-row seat. Congratulations!
Ditto. Furthermore, leather harnesses remind me of Alexander McQueen’s FW 2002 collection (Supercalifragilisticspiralidicious). Not a fan of this collection at all.
The leather overlays remind me too much of the back braces used to treat scoliosis. This collection doesn’t ring my bell.
+1
Im sure starlets and kardashians will be over these dresses
Never been a fan of bandage dress.
+1 I find it tacky. Also, the leather harnesses are strange and OTT. Not loving this collection.
i agree guys. this collection looks a bit busy. & i too see other designers work in these dresses too
Looks like the designers had just minutes to turn gowns into steampunk costumes.
Not sure if it can work.
Really don’t like this harness thing. To me it reads bondage, not empowerment.
Alexander McQueen much??????
