Karolina Kurkova joined the fashionable crowd in New York last night at the amfAR New York Gala which kick-started Fall 2012 Fashion Week.
The model wore a navy-blue Vionnet Pre-Fall 2012 dress.
This trend of ‘mullet’ dresses has reached insurmountable heights on the red carpet. Frankly, I don’t get it.
Karolina’s generally inoffensive dress was completely ruined by knee-high lace-up Sergio Rossi sandals.
She may have great legs, but this is not the way to show them.
A tousled updo and sapphire earrings complete the look.

I love this from the waist up. The color is stunning on her, her hair and makeup is great, and those earrings are to die for. I just really hope that this mullet skirt phase will be over soon because it is really starting to worry me:P
I actually like the shoes. I have never been a fan of mullet dresses but this look has got a Spartan warrior thing going on that I find somewhat appealing.

I read somewhere that Karolina has surgery this week, so I am thinking that perhaps this outfit was selected and styled whilst she was in a post-surgery stupour. Because, seriously, that is the only explanation I can think of for why she considered this look acceptable enough to leave the house in. Deplorable.
