There are two things I don’t think I’ve ever said in the same sentence before: Roberto Cavalli and Julianne Moore.
The actress donned a Roberto Cavalli dark blue gown to the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2012 Fashion Week last night.
She didn’t opt for the ‘typical sexy’ Cavalli gown; instead she selected this long-sleeve jersey gown which fits her no-fuss style perfectly.
Matte red lips, a Bottega Veneta black intrecciato satin clutch and side-swept flame-red hair completed her look.

She looks gorgeous!
i agree 100%
best she’s looked in a long time. i love the color against her skin and hair. flawless.
Agreed. Maybe the best she’s looked ever. She looks like a seductress in a James Bond movie. Flawless indeed.
Yes, sensational.
I agree with you, she looks amazing, I love her classy make up.
I dig everything about this look except for the neckline. Too high and tight.
This is totally gorgeous. BDOTW contender. She looks totally amazing–so much better than she often looks.
Works for her. Beautiful!
P.S.: This is something you would like to read, FC :

*falls over in shock*
I hope that is happens soon.
She really said that??? Wow! I hope she won’t change her mind!
Oh God… Gorgeous.
i would like to see this as a BDOTW contender, a) because she looks wonderful and b) because it’s such a surprising and successful collaboration. The styling totally works and we normally always have to knitpick….
Yes, BDOTW worthy for sure, everything’s perfect and she’s sultry and sexy.
Agreed. BDOTW. I adore Ms. Moore and this is the best she has looked in a long time!
This is Julianne at her best!
I like her here but she’s not a Cavalli girl, good for her.
I love it, so nonchalantly sexy. I wouldn’t have guessed it was Cavalli. I like the hair down with slick of red on the lips, so playful and glamorous.
Stunning!
Nothing special and i’m wishing for a better bra but i’m not offended. I like it, it’s stylish without being desperate.
Love her hair and makeup especially on this outing, the Cavalli looks great and unexpected on her as well.
It’s just me, or this dress looks exactly like the dress that wore Amber Heard in a London premiere??
she is a gorgeous lady and all the pieces in this outfit compliments her. Beautiful dress, colour and makeup.
The dress clearly is minimalist and doesn’t knock my socks off – but the overall effect definitely does. THIS is the gorgeous Julianne, the one that somehow got lost amidst all those Lanvin messes of the last few years. Huzzah, a very welcome return to form. She is just smoldering here somehow.
+1
I can’t think of the last time she’s looked so beautiful! I actually let out an “Ooooo!”. Her hair and makeup are on fire! Stunning!
She looks stunning. Her hair looks so good with that colors combination and I really want that lipstick. Also I am stunned that this dress is a Roberto Cavalli, in a good way. Great look all around
I’m still not sure how I feel about the dress, to be honest. But hair and makeup look STUNNING!
She looks good, but there are two things which I would change before voting her BDOTW: the black clutch and the bra. If she’s wearing one at all, that is. Im surprised theres only been one comment about it. I found it quite noticeable on the second photograph, specially as the neck line is high.
not sure aboute the bra,but at least there not down on her waist,as Tilda’s ara,so good for her!she looks stunning in such a simple dress.hair and make up even better.
Flawless. Best she has ever looked!!!! Her hair looks great here–the dress is simple but good on her…everything just comes together.
I agree!
Beautiful. I love when she gets it right.
gorgeous!
Stunning, this is one of my favourite looks for her and she looks so beautiful. I wish she looked a bit happier though haha
Julianne looks stunning as always..but the dress could have looked much better if had chosen a right bra..
she looks fantastic and she is an inspiration for all women around 50. See the danish blog for girls +49 and their fashion needs and, look special at the danish designer Henriette Steffensens brand at the blog.
