Jennifer Hudson was one of the many stars to hit the red carpet at the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2012 Fashion Week last night wearing Roberto Cavalli.
Sporting crimped hair, the singer wore a taupe plunging gown with a thigh-high split and a stunning gold embellished bodice.
That detail was complemented with gold strappy sandals and statement jewels.

The part where the bodice and skirt meets looks really off. I wish it was more sleek, then I would love this look.
I hate it so much. The hair is really RuPaul’s Drag Race and the details on the dress end at a place that makes her hips look wider than they are. The nail polish is bad and the makeup is soooo bland.
I love Jen but this look is really amateur.
Why do I feel like Jennifer is trying to channel Beyonce here? The nail color is lovely and I like the sultry eyes, plus her bracelets are to die for. The rest falls flat – her stylist must be stuck in 1999 giving her crimped hair and dark lip liner, shame on her!!

The hair is ridiculous, the dress is too tight on her boobs, the skirt’s color does not flatter her at all and the dress’ shape is so bad for her – it makes her thighs look much bigger than they actually are.

Bad Bad Bad, but I don’t like her style, always showing her body. Cover yourself!
The nail polish is the only good thing about this look.
The dress indeed makes her appear so wide in the hips, while we all know she has a lovely figure.
I also wonder why they insist on squashing her boobs like that every single time.
And what was her make up artist thinking with that lipliner?
This is horrible on so many levels. The hair and makeup are tragic and the dress gives her body a disproportionate shape.

This gown is just not meant for this styling.
Drag-queenishly bad, and on so many levels ! The proportions, the glitter accentuating her hips, the hair (THE HAIR !) and makeup… From the tip of her shoes to that tacky nail polish, it’s a miss for me.
*I forgot to mention the top. Why on god would she think squeezing the twins so much is the way to go, events after events ?
