Alexa Chung decided to mix things up on the red carpet at the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2012 Fashion Week last night.
The British TV presenter, who we’re bound to see popping up in the front row many times this week, wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 look.
She took the silk blouse from look 47 with the leather studded floral appliqué skirt from look 18.
I would’ve loved her to wear look 47 in its entirety, but with that limp hair it is probably a blessing in disguise.
Louis Vuitton ‘Merry Go Round’ pumps and a floral sac completed her look.

Oh the inhumanity, I mean the hair . . .
What is she a 10 year old boy who you have to yell at as he leaves the house, “BRUSH YOUR HAIR!!”
Why does she ruin nearly every outfit she wears????? this is terrible, save the gorgeous pumps..
I agree, the shoes are so beautiful! The blouse is very ugly, anyway, it would look bad worn by everybody.

I love those heels, adore the skirt, the top is way too wrinkly, and her hair is the epitome of a hot mess. Oh Alexa, never change.

Aside from the lame hair I have to say, she’s pulling this look off. Considering the success rate off this collection on the red carpet (SJP and Emma Watson) props to her this time.

I kind of like the hair it has a natural softness to it. What i don’t like is how incredibly scrawny and thin she is. Any outfit even the square wide styles she always wears look horrible on a stick…i think the whole outfit is meh
I wish she had worn the original shoes. Is her hair her attempt at a french “je ne said quoi?” look
I just dont understand how people like her can be so famous. for what? great style? beautiful face? singing? acting?? dancing… I really dont havea clue.

She looks uncharacteristically demure from the waist down. Can’t get over the disheveled locks. Is that top supposed to appear as though its wrinkled, thats also how it was presented on the runway.
