Rachel McAdams attended the ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ LA premiere last night at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre which was turned into a tropical rainforest.
Sporting tousled beachy waves, the actress from ‘The Vow’ wore another look from the Peter Som Spring 2012 collection.
It’s a simple enough look which consisted of a sheer electric-blue knit tee with a vibrant blue floral-print maxi skirt with a thigh-high split.
Despite Rachel’s best efforts to wear a bra in the same colour as her top, the camera flashbulbs have made it more visible but I won’t hold that against her.
A blue snakeskin clutch and black Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps completed her look.
Thankfully they aren’t too visible. The runway shoes would’ve been much preferred.

LOVE this look, it’s so refreshing from her… and the skirt is divine!
Love, love, love! Thanks for all the hard work FC, so sorry there have been problems with the site.
Thanks A…it has been stressful, but we are over the worst of it.
BDOTW contender for me (: love how she twisted the skirt around too so the split isn’t so in-your-face… perfect for a premiere of which she isn’t the main star.
I agree with you. Such a fresh look.
Love this. I actually much prefer this to Vanessa’s look
i agree, the runway shoes would have made this look head-to-toe perfect but she looks great and event-appropriate regardless.
i liked that the ladies who attended this premier went for the bolder colors in their spring-transitional looks rather than the expected pastels.
OMG I have been waiting for someone to wear this look! Ahhh I can’t believe it! I love my dear Rachel but she does not have the height to pull this dress off. Someone with long legs is mandatory. BDOTW semi-contender?
I loove this look! she looks terrific and the skirt is so beautifull! I also forgive her the visible bra but no those shoes! well still BDORW contender for me!
Hi FC hope everything is ok with the site now, no doubt it was stressful for you
! Thanks so much for your hard work, we really appreciate it
x
I really like this look from Rachel, it is a great choice for the event! I am not bothered about the bra because I don’t think it is incredibly noticeable and I get the impression that it is not an easy top to work with on the red carpet. Love love love the skirt
yes, it is working much better now I am on a new server x
She looks amazing, that blue skirt really is divine.
She looks young, fresh and simply flawless as always.
Fresh and beautiful.
If you check out her photo on Daily Mail, her pose makes the total difference as she shows off her leg with the slit. Of course, you can see the black pumps then but to each their own I suppose. BDOTW contender for me.
I adore this look! Fresh, clean, beautiful. So great to see some new looks on the red carpet Loving me some Peter Som.
Don’t like the t-shirt, don’t like the slit (it is better on Rachel, though), but the high-waisted silhouette and print are beautiful.
I like the look, but it appears as if her antiperspriant failed her.
I normally like Rachel’s looks, but not into the sheer clothing thing. It seems desperate. I say that also as a jab at the designer.
I would have loved her to have paired these http://www.nicholaskirkwood.com/index.php?section=collection&season=ss12&style=12S0001PP1 shoes with this outfit.
