Rachel McAdams was the first to wear this Collette Dinnigan 2012 ‘Mirabella’ dress to the Berlin photocall of her latest movie, ‘The Vow’ in Germany last week.
The actress wore the blush, black embroidered dress with black heels and kept her hair and make-up really simple.
Nicole Kidman wore the same dress on Friday whilst attending the 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards in West Hollywood, California.
She opted for gold strappy sandals, and like Rachel, she kept everything else simple.
As much as I love Nicole’s glowing tan, I have to say Rachel’s pale complexion works perfectly for the dress keeping the ethereal nature of the look.
Nicole also lost points for her dress appearing to be too tight around the hips.

The fit is EVERYTHING here. Whilst I don’t particularly mind the fact that Nicole’s dress sits closer to the knee, she unfortunately looks as though she has been poured into it. On Sofia Vergara at the Globes or the SAGs, this va-va voom look might be a good thing. But this dress is supposed to be dainty and lady-like and Rachel McAdams completely nails that aesthetic here. Clear winner.
I don’t like this dress actually..
Nicole always has either “make-up” or “fit” issue. I just don’t get it. She has been on the red-carpet forever and was on top of the game back then. Now she just lost it.
Rachel hands down. It fits her the way it appeared on the runway, higher on the waist, more relaxed through the hip and slightly longer and more A on the bottom. Purrrfection.
I chose Rachel. Even though Nicole looks nice the fit is a bit off. In terms of styling I prefer Rachel’s as she kept it very simple and classic which allows the dress and her beauty to really stand out. Rachel’s has such a commanding presence in this dress and just exudes elegance and grace. I just love her
