Rooney Mara didn’t attend the 2012 SAG Awards yesterday evening because she was gearing up for the Asian leg of her promo tour for ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’.
This evening in Tokyo she stunned on the red carpet wearing a Givenchy Spring 2012 dress to the Japan premiere.
Those of you who had grown tired of the all-black looks will no doubt be pleased at this sculptural white halter dress.
She opted to wear the dress without the white sheer blouse to give more edge to the look.
Lacquered locks, white ankle-strap sandals and a nude lip colour provided the finishing touches.

I agree. She does look better. I really like this on her.
I agree too. She maybe look like a ghost but a – I really like ghost-like looks (as on others as on myself) and b – that suits her in my opinion.
And this dress is simply gorgeous.
One of my favourite looks from her, edgy chic. Love her in white. I understand the whole minimalist idea for this tour but very simple stud earrings would´ve provided a perfect finishing touch, wouldn´t have hurt really.
She should stop with this timid pose and find a better way of positioning her arms/hands.
I liked this as well and agree that her posing leaves something to be desired, the hands especially.
Good, but not the best. What really bothers me is her expression. Always the same, like she’s still playing her role.

She is my new girl crush, I love everything about her look: her hair, her makeup and the gowns she has been wearing during her movie promo. It’s just so refreshing to see someone in Hollywood going for a different look than everybody else. She has a Cate Blanchett vibe to her.

She is stunning. I think she has an amazing tour that will be surely best of the year worthy. I adore this dress on her. Yes, it’s a similar silhouette to some of her other looks, but it’s amazing to see unique and lovely dresses like this on the red carpet. I LOVE it and her face and hair are perfection as always.
I looove it, she always look like she just came out of a Vogue magazine.. I really want her to wear look 5 (with the huge earrings) or 10 from the latest Givenchy couture collection for the Oscars.
No doubt better than those cookie cutter modes, fashion fades, only style remains the same.
