Jennifer Carpenter usually opts for long, fitted gowns, but yesterday evening she chose a shorter hemline for the 2012 SAG Awards.
The ‘Dexter’ star, nominated for ‘Best Ensemble Cast’, wore an Emilio Pucci Spring 2012 dress.
Her red beaded dress with a bateau neckline was teamed with simple patent Jimmy Choo ‘Vita’ nude peep-toe platforms.
Jennifer’s body and legs look outstanding in this dress. It’s refreshing to see a different look from her.
Ombre waves and an oval clutch finish the look.

I like the dress but the hair and shoes add nothing to the look
I’ve never noticed how stunning she is until now… kudos to her (or her stylist) for choosing an interesting dress and great job on the hair and makeup.
Sexy, young and fresh. Love it!
She looks skelatal, I can’t even focus on the dress.
This is what I was thinking too
+1
Jennifer is quite an actress! I love her as Debra!
This is a gorgeous dress and I think she looks outstanding not only because of the dress but her make and hair are beautiful!
I love this look, her hair looks amazing. However she looks a tad too casual for a major award ceremony.
Too thin, does not look even healthy, no shape to fill in the dress
She looks gorgeous, but she is WAY to skinny. Love the dress, love the hair but I hate the shoes. Something a little sexier would have worked better, IMO.
Love the dress!
She looks great, young and fresh, love it.
I agree with the commenters above who think that in this picture Jennifer appears thinner than is a pleasure to look at. She’s a grown woman in her thirties, and should not need to reduce herself to the figure of a lanky sixteen year old catwalk model in order to be considered beautiful.
Totally agree. She would be looking great, but I just can’t stop my eyes slipping onto her arms and legs.
I’ve always found Carpenter to be distractingly thin, even on Dexter. That aside, her hair and makeup are perfection.
ouch please have a burger
gorgeous and unique dress, great hair, makeup and clutch, but the shoes look too casual.
seems like it could use another piece of jewellery, but I can’t think what. Maybe it’s just the boring shoes that are making me feel like something is missing.
you know what else is amazing? seeing someone stand like a normal human being.
I think she looks great. She’s posing confidently but without trying too hard, and the dress is a cool, interesting choice. The shoes could have been better, but her hair and makeup look great!
