Bérénice Bejo opted for a flapper-esqe look on the red carpet for the 2012 Directors Guild of America Awards in Hollywood, California yesterday evening.
Despite any strong feelings of déjà vu that you may have about this dress, this is the first time we are seeing Look 35 on the red carpet.
Her gold and black drop-waist dress with art deco lines, and a fringed skirt was teamed with Gucci accessories including a gold and black clutch and strappy sandals.
A side-parted, side-swept ponytail and gold earrings completed her look.
I hope we continue to see more variety from her in the lead up to the Oscars.

This collection has never done anything for me, so despite loving most of Berenice’s looks on the carpet, this one I am ambivalent about.
This dress does awful, awful things to the figure. Whether you’re a model or not.
I love it on Bejo. She worked the dress just like camille and ERW did couple months ago.
Love it!
If I see one more dress from this collection I am going to screech.
I think this looks awful. She looks pear shaped, wide at the hips, the shoes are pedestrian and her her is styled for a workout at the gym.
Basta!

Yawn. I’m so over this collection. Same, same, same.
I like this look, it’s one of my favourite showcasing of this collection on the RC after Sonam kapoor.
Ugly and shapeless. ERW’s look was much better.
Love it. It’s shapeless because it’s a flapper style – its meant to be.
