It can be difficult to look stylish on a cold evening in New York City when you just want to dress for warmth, but Elizabeth Banks had no such issue whilst arriving at the Ed Sullivan Theater for a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show With David Letterman’.
The actress wore an Andrew Gn Spring 2012 coat.
Her short-sleeve brocade coat with origami details was paired with two-tone leather gloves.
The rest of her accessories included Tabitha Simmons ‘Esther’ boots and a red Prada bag.
A simple updo with swept bangs completed her look.
Despite this being a head-to-toe black I do like it as cach piece is interesting and a pop of colour via the bag was a welcome finishing touch.

I think this is a cool look except for the red bag. I would have preferred no bag at all–somehow it breaks up the overall look. And I wish she’d worn the model’s belt.
Ditto.
Love the coat (on the model esp.)! It´s a well put together look – tights, booties, scarf and gloves work well together esp. on a cold evening, a major pop of colour this bright feels a tad forced however.
I’m loving this whole look, it feels glamorous with out being over the top. Though I’m wondering how warm a coat presented in a spring/summer collection can be in a New York winter.
I like the gloves, not sure about the bag though.I would have prefered an emerald green bag
